The former Aurora squad beat Passion UA in the final to take home the $10,000 top prize.
Astrum have emerged as the victors of YaLLa Compass Contenders 1 after beating Passion UA 2-0 in the $25,000 online event's grand final (13-6 Mirage, 22-20 Train).
The win earned the team a $10,000 payday and a 15-place jump up the VRS Global Ranking to 45th, and marked their first title under their new banner after they were benched by their former organization, Aurora, before it signed the entirety of Eternal Fire.
Astrum's sole loss of the tournament came in the 2-0 pool of the Swiss group stage to PARIVISION, but Evgeny "Norwi" Ermolin's side got revenge over their countrymen in the playoffs by squeezing out a hard-fought three-map victory.

Close matches were the theme of Astrum's overall event run, with CYBERSHOKE being the only side to fall to them in two maps before the final. The overall team effort saw Gleb "gr1ks" Gazin finish as Astrum's highest-rated player with a 1.07 rating over 18 maps, with the board bottomed out by Robert "Patsi" Isyanov at 1.00.
Passion UA had taken the fight to Astrum in the opening match of the group stage but couldn't do the same in the title decider despite beating Spirit Academy in the semi-final, capitulating in the second half of Mirage before falling to a comeback on Astrum's Train pick in triple overtime.
