The 28-year-old is starting a new chapter by transitioning to a coaching role.

Preasy have announced that they have named Philip "⁠aizy⁠" Aistrup the new head coach of their Counter-Strike team. It is the first coaching job for the 28-year-old, who had announced in January that he was looking to apply his "expertise and experience to a new project."

aizy's playing career included spells at Dignitas, G2, FaZe and North. It was with the latter team that he lifted four notable trophies, including DreamHack Masters Stockholm in 2018.

His final team was Sashi, who released him at the end of 2023.

aizy takes over from Danni "⁠Ratico⁠" Grøntved Jørgensen, who had been with the team since January. On Preasy, aizy will reunite with Asger "⁠AcilioN⁠" Larsen and Nikolaj "⁠niko⁠" Kristensen, his former teammates on Sashi and North, respectively.

"aizy brings a wealth of experience to the team, having competed at the highest level and played in five CS:GO Majors throughout his impressive career," Preasy said in a statement posted on X.

"Known for his sharp aim, deep game sense, and years of top-tier competition, he’s now ready to take on a new challenge and shaping the next generation of talent from the coaching seat.

"We’re excited for this new chapter and confident that, with Aizy at the helm, we’re in great hands moving forward."

Preasy, who are taking part in European Pro League Season 25, now have:
