Fluxo, Imperial, Chinggis Warriors, and Metizport condemned to 0-2 elimination pool
Complexity, TYLOO, Legacy, and Nemiga bounced back from their defeats in the opening round.

Nemiga, Complexity, Legacy, and TYLOO have secured their first victories at the BLAST.tv Austin Major and avoided an early trip to the 0-2 elimination pool.
Those wins came at the expense of Fluxo, Chinggis Warriors, Imperial, and Metizport, who have their backs against the wall heading into day two and will have to fight to keep their Major campaigns afloat.

Complexity got the job done without much trouble from Fluxo, who struggled to find entry into bombsites for much of the first half of Inferno.
The Brazilians won the second pistol and a few clutches to tie the game at 8-8, but those close rounds soon started going back the way of Complexity with Paytyn "junior" Johnson and Michael "Grim" Wince chipping in with 1v2s to help their side clinch victory.
Legacy prevailed over Chinggis Warriors in a messy Nuke affair, filled with plenty of mistakes and headscratching moments on both ends that saw the teams deadlocked at halftime. The Mongolian side lost both pistols but managed to recover in the middle of each half, but Legacy rallied on both occasions to scrape by.
A 1.48-rated Train performance by Ivan "zweih" Gogin led Nemiga in victory over Imperial, with the Brazilians struggling to halt the 17-year-old's charge on the offense. Imperial won the second round force-buy for a 3-1 lead and the second pistol to briefly lead 7-6, but were largely outclassed by a Nemiga that recovered from their sound defeat to BetBoom on the same map earlier in the day.
The final 0-1 match saw TYLOO completely outclass Metizport on Mirage, the few rounds that went the way of the Swedes largely the fault of the Chinese side misplaying a few mid-round situations rather than Metizport doing anything special. The 13-4 map ended with Jingxiang "Mercury" Wang atop the board with a 1.88 rating, followed closely by Qianhao "Moseyuh" Chen at 1.57.
