Lynn Vision secure Stage 2 berth over NRG
Squandered opportunities were the name of the game for nitr0 and company as they were eliminated in round five.

Lynn Vision came out on top of 2-0 affair against NRG in round five of the BLAST.tv Austin Major's first stage, securing a spot in stage 2 and eliminating the North American side in the process.
The Chinese squad had found itself up against the ropes after going down to the 1-2 pool on day two, but secured the second consecutive victory after squeezing past Chinggis Warriors to bring themselves back from the brink of elimination.
After the tough series against the Mongolians, Lynn Vision had to fight off a resilient opponent once more against NRG, as it took triple overtime and 10 squandered map points from both sides combined before the Chinese squad locked down a messy affair on Dust2.
Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott's efforts all throughout the map weren't enough as NRG gave up a 12-8 lead, then recovered a 12-15 deficit in first overtime, only to squander three more map points in second overtime themselves.
True to his name, Lizhi "Starry" Ye came away with the highlight of the map in first overtime, an incredible quad-kill spraydown, but in the end it was Sike "z4kr" Zhang's extended 1v1 clutch against Nick "nitr0" Cannella that helped secure the chaotic first map.

Squandered opportunities continued to be the name of the game for NRG on Inferno. A last-moment defuse and quad-kill from Josh "oSee" Ohm was one of few bright moments in an otherwise mistake-marred CT side, on which the North American side gave away several advantages on the B bombsite combination between nitr0 and Alexander "br0" Bro.
From down 1-4 the Chinese squad dominated the map with Junjie "EmiliaQAQ" Tang finding crucial multikill after multikill to secure passage to Stage 2.
NRG's T sides "super easy to read"
After the match, Qihao "C4LLM3SU3" Su fired shots at NRG's T sides, saying on the BLAST desk that they are "super easy to read," especially on Dust2, where the Chinese side found some spot-on timings.
"[We spotted] some player habits, like their Lower control, when they are taking Cat control, no one's gonna hold Tunnels. And then I believe Jeorge leaves A Main at 1 minute straight, so we were just making plays for Emilia to flank Main or for me to push B tunnels," he said.
When talking about expectations for a much more competitive Stage 2, Lynn Vision remain realistic. "We're probably not gonna make Stage 3, but I hope we don't get 0-3'd," C4LLM3SU3 admitted.
