adamb set to depart Metizport

The Norwegian organization has revealed the rifler has opted to explore his options.

Metizport have announced that Adam "⁠adamb⁠" Ångström is set to to depart, saying that the 20-year-old has "decided to explore new opportunities when his contract ends on June 30th."

The news comes after Metizport's disastrous performance at BLAST.tv Austin Major, where the Swedish side exited Stage 1 with a 0-3 record without recording a single map win.

"After several internal discussions, Adam has decided to explore new opportunities when his contract ends on June 30th," Metizport said in a statement. "We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Adam for his incredible contributions to Metizport."

With his departure adamb will end a year-and-a-half stint with Metizport, having joined the team in September 2023. In that time he has regularly been one of their better performing players, posting a 1.12 average rating during his tenure, and helped the team qualify for their first-ever Major appearance.

Said Major appearance was a difficult experience, however, as Metizport endured a poor patch of form in the lead up to the event before crashing out in joint-last place. Such were the Swedes' struggles that they only reached a double-digit round total on a single map, however adamb did post the highest rating on the team, 0.87 over five maps.

Beyond the Major, adamb helped his team twice qualify for BLAST Premier Showdown, once narrowly missing out on Finals qualification, claim regional glorly at Svenska Cupen 2024, and briefly peak inside the top 30 on both the HLTV ranking and VRS.
