Jimpphat: "I want to play the CS we are known for, and show these not-so-good teams that we are actually here to destroy them"
"Maybe after this game we can spark our CS," the Finn said after MOUZ eliminated their former captain, siuhy, from the Major.

MOUZ kept their tournament lives afloat in Austin after trudging past Liquid in a triple overtime Mirage decider in the 0-2 pool, which brought an end to the tournament campaign of their former teammate, Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek.
"It feels good and bad at the same time," Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo tells HLTV about eliminating his former captain after the match. "It was a really tough game to win and I really like him. He's such a nice guy, so of course it sucks to beat them, but it has to be either us or them and it was them this time."

MOUZ are now 1-2 and need two more best-of-three wins to reach the playoffs after a rough first day at the Austin Major, where they lost to Virtus.pro and FaZe to immediately be fighting for their tournament lives. Jimpphat says the team still fully believes that they can do it, and hopes that this win can be what sparks MOUZ to play at their best again.
"I really want to play good CS, what we are known for, and show these not-so-good teams, not the best teams in the world, that we are actually here to destroy them," he says.

You stay alive after triple overtime, a tough match in the end. Walk me through that, how did it come down to the wire so much and how are you feeling after it?
First of all, I'm feeling really good. A little bit cooked as well, it was a tough game to win as well to be honest. I'm not sure why exactly we couldn't close Mirage, why it went back and forth. The rounds were so weird, but I'm just really happy that we could close it. Really tough game, but just happy to make it.
0-2 was not a position you expected to be in. torzsi told me you had some rough practice, but then the last three days were pretty good. What do you feel like went wrong as you kicked off your tournament here?
There is no specific reason. First of all, we were just really sloppy. We had the bootcamp and towards the end we played really well, and also in the beginning it was decent, so it's nothing about the bootcamp at least.
The best-of-one format is rough of course, nothing to take away from those teams but you cannot really make many mistakes. Especially if you don't play your A-game instantly, it can easily backfire on you, and that's what happened to us.
The VP game was a little bit tough, but we should have won the second game for sure. We did not, and now we have our backs against the wall and we just have to make it, climb again, and we still fully believe that we'll do it.
Obviously you eliminated Liquid here, eliminated siuhy. The last Major you played at was with him, so what was it like to eliminate him?
It feels good and bad at the same time. Nothing bad, they played really good as well, it was a really tough game to win and I really like him. He's such a nice guy, so of course it sucks to beat them, but it has to be either us or them and it was them this time. I'm just feeling happy that we won it.
It must feel a little bit good too, though, right?
Yeah, I mean of course. He's a good friend and a friend you've known for a long time. I'm sad it has to come to this situation where it's either them or us. It's a little bit unfortunate, but it had to be done.
Going into tomorrow, you're 1-2 now, so two more best-of-threes away from making the playoffs. How are you feeling about that?
I'm feeling really excited. This game was a big relief for us, and maybe after this game we can spark our CS because even in this game we still haven't played our MOUZ CS. We haven't played well, myself included, and now after this game I hope we get some rest and we look forward to the next game.
But I really want to play good CS, what we are known for, and show these not-so-good teams, not the best teams in the world, that we are actually here to destroy them.
