nawwk steps down from BC.Game

The sniper's stint with several of his former teammates ends after just five months.

Tim "⁠nawwk⁠" Jonasson has stepped back from BC.Game's active lineup, the organization has announced.

The 27-year-old Swedish sniper joined the team in January, initially linking up former Apeks teammates Joakim "⁠jkaem⁠" Myrbostad and Aleksandar "⁠CacaNito⁠" Kjulukoski before Cai "⁠CYPHER⁠" Watson and Nemanja "⁠nexa⁠" Isaković were signed a week later to recreate the former BLEED core.

The team found immediate success in online competition, making a handful of deep runs in online cups, winning CCT Season 2 Series 19, qualifying for IEM Dallas, and securing an invite to the BLAST.tv Austin Major Europe MRQ, but were marred in controversy after jkaem was benched after allegedly owing over $300,000 in gambling debt.

BC.Game then failed to qualify for the Austin Major, went out last place at IEM Dallas with CacaNito as a stand-in, and began to flounder in online competition, resulting in nawwk's departure becoming the fifth move in six months for the team.

The Swedish sniper has become a journeyman since departing Apeks in May 2024, recording brief, four-month stints with BLEED and fnatic and a five-month stint with BC.Game, during which he averaged a 1.09 rating over 125 maps.
