Sources: Imperial to complete roster with Shr

Imperial are set to undergo a double change in the off-season.

Imperial have agreed a deal to buy José "⁠Shr⁠" Gil out of his contract with SAW, sources have revealed to HLTV and Dust2.com.br.

The Portuguese player will become the final piece of the Brazilian organization's new roster, joining alongside Marcelo "⁠chelo⁠" Cespedes, who will return to Imperial two years after leaving the organization for FURIA.

The incoming duo will replace Richard "⁠chayJESUS⁠" Seidy, who has already been placed on Imperial's bench earlier this week, and Lucas "⁠decenty⁠" Bacelar.

The move to Imperial will mark Shr's first move out of Portugal, where he has played all throughout his career under the likes of OFFSET, GTZ and FTW.

The 24-year-old most recently played with SAW in a stint that only lasted three months before he was benched. He struggled in his transition to tier-one at first, but went out on a high note with a 1.08-rated performance in the team's fairytale run to the quarter-finals at PGL Cluj-Napoca.

The new roster will soon begin training together in preparation for their debut at Thunderpick World Championship South America Series 1, where Imperial will compete at the end of the month after getting an invite straight to the playoffs.
