NRG may be parting ways with their two longest-standing players.

NRG are set to bench Jadan "⁠HexT⁠" Postma and AWPer Josh "⁠oSee⁠" Ohm, bringing on Carson "⁠nosraC⁠" O'Reilly and Zack "⁠XotiC⁠" Elshani in their stead according to a report from Dust2.us.

This report comes after a lackluster season for NRG, who struggled to find international success following the additions of Jeorge "⁠Jeorge⁠" Endicott and Alexander "⁠br0⁠" Bro despite their dominance in the domestic North American scene.

NRG have opted to set aside HexT and oSee, the only two players remaining from the organization's re-entry into Counter-Strike in November 2023. In their place, the Nick "⁠nitr0⁠" Cannella-led side are looking to take a risk on nosraC and XotiC, former teammates of Jeorge.

nosraC is most well-known for his two-year-long tenure on Nouns, a squad that consistently was among the top in the domestic scene. More recently, nosraC spent time in-game leading for the orgless side Getting Info, which at one point was in negotiations to be signed by TSM.

XotiC, set to take over as NRG's AWPer, has a far sparser history. Previously a part of CLG Academy and Splyce in 2017 and 2018, XotiC recorded the bulk of his HLTV-recorded maps from 2020-2022. Since then, XotiC has made few appearances on the server, playing just 23 maps across 2023 and 2025.

Despite his limited playtime in the past few years, XotiC has displayed some solid form in his recent games with Getting Info, averaging a 1.34 rating across 14 maps. With a limited sample size of maps and no LAN experience to his name, the signing of XotiC represents a lofty gamble by NRG ahead of the second half of the season.

Should these moves come to fruition, the new-look NRG will make their debut at Fragadelphia 19 in Windsor, Canada beginning July 17.

Hext is a great player domestically, but essentially is nonexistent against T1 EU competition. If NRG wants to be one of the best teams in NA than Hext is fine, but he is not the guy right now if you want to compete at a high level. I don't think he's had an EU event above 1.00 while he averages like 1.15 in NA.

Wdym didn’t play though? He’s been playing since 2018. He took a year off in 2019 and came back in 2020 under a new name pretending to be someone else and then did the same shit he was already known for doing which was dodging lans. Actually made his team forfeit an Esea grand finals match in 2021? Around there because if they won they qualified for EPL which is on lan.

Yea. That happened to like over 50% of our pro players in the domestic scene. Partner leagues and covid absolutely brutalized and killed our scene. T2 teams had no reason to exist, so all of our talent pipeline dried up. Im just glad to see some of them coming back because they’re still young guys

You should probably take anything he says about player abilities with a pinch of salt at this point. He had such pessimism leaking through the monitor on stream for either Shanghai or Copenhagen quals. Constant random putdowns of players in the matches. I remember "Nicoodoz isnt good enough anymore" and now he's broken a major record. Just sad for osee, I remember when he played for Singularity and ATK and it was extremely annoying! Furia, MIBR and Liquid always lost some matches until C9 bought the lineup and even after C9 retired from CS for the 10th time and they became ExtraSalt, I remember them also causing trouble. In Brazil we called it "little osee" at the time. I think osee just needs a team like wildcard to start playing well again and make the underdog run again.
