Sangal sign Russian core featuring Patsi

Sangal have acquired Astrum's core and their spot as #51 in the world on the VRS.

Sangal have announced the signing of a trio of Russian players from Astrum, adding Robert "⁠Patsi⁠" Isyanov, Evgeny "⁠Norwi⁠" Ermolin, and Timur "⁠clax⁠" Sabirov to their ranks.

This move comes just one day after Eternal Fire acquired Sangal's previous Polish core. With Raul "⁠Blytz⁠" Gligor's earlier departure for Nexus, Sangal were left with just a single player on their active lineup, AWPer and former BetBoom player Danil "⁠danistzz⁠" Roslyakov.

Eternal Fire overhaul team with ex-Sangal core

Patsi, Norwi, and clax had been plying their trade with Astrum for just three months, competing in numerous online events in Europe to reach a peak VRS ranking of #44 in the world.

With Sangal's acquisition of this core, the Russian team will start as #51 in the world, higher on the VRS than the team's previous core reached at any point.

While Sangal have yet to announce the squad's fifth player, the new-look side will be making its debut in a matter of days in the ESL Pro League Season 22 Europe Qualifier, kicking off July 14.
