Buzz benched in OG

The Dane is on the bench after almost a year on the starting lineup.

OG have announced that Christian "⁠Buzz⁠" Andersen is moving to the bench, bringing to an end his nearly year-long stint on the starting roster.

The news confirms a recent HLTV report that stated OG were exploring options to replace Buzz.

"We're grateful for everything he's brought to the team during these last nine months," OG said in a statement. "Qualifying for the Major together is a memory we'll always carry with us. Further updates on the team will be shared shortly."

Buzz commented on his benching on X, saying "Nothing but good things to say about OG, the staff around the team and specially the players and coaches."

Buzz joined OG in August 2024, signing permanently after a successful period as a stand-in. During his tenure the team generally struggled for tangible success bar a top-four finish at last year's Thunderpick World Championship.

After the arrival of Nico "⁠nicoodoz⁠" Tamjidi OG saw a modest uptick in form, winning CCT Season 2 Europe Series 20 and more importantly making it all the way to Stage 2 of BLAST.tv Austin Major.

Buzz has been OG's worst player statistically this year, averaging a 1.03 rating which is tied bottom amongst his team alongside Christoffer "⁠Chr1zN⁠" Storgaard.
