Virtus.pro fly past TYLOO in IEM Cologne Stage 1 opener
electronic and his men got revenge on TYLOO, sending the Chinese team to the lower bracket.

Virtus.pro made quick work of TYLOO, beating them on two VP classics, Inferno and Overpass, and the series was not nearly as slow as could have been expected. In large part because it was a one-sided affair, which made the revenge victory from FISSURE Playground 1 a sweet one.
The match started on TYLOO's Inferno, but it was Virtus.pro who controlled the map early on with a magnificent B site display by Petr "fame" Bolyshev, who had three multi-kill rounds. An early 4-1 lead by TYLOO was cut by half-time, as it went 6-6 to the switch, after which Virtus.pro took control going 7-1 to make it 13-7.
By the end of the map, fame had 20 kills in the 20 rounds it took to get the win, with only Yi "JamYoung" Yang putting up a fight on the other side with 20 kills of his own.
Overpass makes its return
Overpass made its awaited return as Virtus.pro's pick, and the Russian squad quickly showed that it's their territory, taking a 7-5 lead at the half despite starting on the T side.
Riding their lead, Virtus.pro won the second pistol round and then defended a very close Tec-9 rush on B, but after that allowed only a single death in the following three rounds to hit match point, which they converted the following round to end it cleanly, 13-5.
If fame got a mention for his work on Inferno's CT side, Evgenii "FL1T" Lebedev and Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy made it happen for Virtus.pro on the attack with 11 and 10 kills, respectively, and 91.7% KASTs.
Virtus.pro get a much-needed W and break TYLOO's streak
After getting eliminated from the BLAST.tv Austin Major in 9-11th place with three straight best-of-three losses before the summer break, and returning with losses to TYLOO and MIBR at FISSURE Playground 1, Virtus.pro got a much needed victory to stop the bleeding after signing Perfecto in the off-season.
Virtus.pro also broke TYLOO's five-match winning streak, which the Chinese team got at the afforementioned FPG tournament with an opening victory against VP starting a wave that they rode all of the way to the title.
Now, Virtus.pro will play for a spot at IEM Cologne's Stage 2 against GamerLegion, while TYLOO have been knocked down to the lower bracket, where they will play Complexity for survival and a chance at reaching Stage 2 through the lower bracket decider match.
