The Ukrainian rifler had previously been turning out for B8 on loan from NAVI.

Natus Vincere and B8 have announced that Andrii "⁠npl⁠" Kukharskyi's transfer to B8 has become permanent after a two-year loan stint.

npl first joined B8 on loan in July 2023, having been moved to Natus Vincere's bench as part of the rebuild that saw the team go international. The 20-year-old quickly became a key part of B8's roster, becoming their highest-rated player and soon taking up the leadership reigns.

The rifling IGL helped take B8 to new heights across 2024 after the arrival of Daniil "⁠headtr1ck⁠" Valitov, as the team won a string of top online competitions and rocket up the world rankings, breaking into the top 20 by the end of the year.

headtr1ck and npl seek to lift B8's RMR curse

npl also helped B8 taste their first successes on LAN, taking the team to second at ESL Challenger Katowice 2024, beating Aurora (then Eternal Fire) in the process.

Most importantly, npl oversaw the team breaking their RMR curse to qualify for BLAST.tv Austin Major, where they qualified for Stage 2 and narrowly missed out on joining the top teams in the world in Stage 3.

B8 qualify for Austin, consign Astralis to fifth consecutive Major absence

"It's been a little over two years since npl joined us on loan from Natus Vincere," B8 said in a statement on X. "Throughout this time, the team has evolved - not just in-game, but as a unit overall."

comfort > stress. npl is 20 yrs old. never played in an international team. the chances for failure are bigger if he chose navi. b8 offers him to grow in his role.

I mean, he could've easily farmed some money and get tons of t1 exp + working with one of the best, if not the best, coaches in the world before eventually taking a step back. Glad things are working out for him nonetheless.

He gets paid well in B8. He’s also igl+starplayer there which is his preferred role and everyone trusts him fully. They just qualified to their first major. I wouldnt wanna leave either

I also feel like b8 reached their ceiling. They are a good team but npl has so much more potential than the rest of these players. The only thing that could make this move good is if b8 replace a couple of their players and try to rebuild a little bit. I wish there was a world where S1mple could have played in this team. with NPL but I think npl maybe had a bad history with him. Another thought is how good this team could be if b1t and w0nderful joined them
