Favorites continue to prevail on day two of BLAST Bounty S2
Spirit and NAVI were made to work for their victories, but still walked away with wins.

The top-seeded teams have continued to claim victories in BLAST Bounty Season 2, with Virtus.pro, Natus Vincere, Spirit, and Astralis all walking away from day two with wins.
Half of the opening round games have been completed, with eight more left to play before the second knockout stage unfolds ahead of the eight-team LAN finals.
Virtus.pro overcame Felipe "insani" Yuji's best efforts to start the day with a win over MIBR, securing Train comfortably before being made to work for a victory on Overpass.
Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy struggled immensely on the second map, leaving Virtus.pro to rely on Evgenii "FL1T" Lebedev and Denis "electroNic" Sharipov to step up and power a comeback on the CT side from a 2-10 deficit. Petr "fame" Bolyshev snagged an ace and 1v3 clutch as the battle went into triple overtime, with FL1T adding an ace of his own as Virtus.pro narrowly emerged the victors.
Artem "cairne" Mushynskyi mentioned in a pre-game interview that Drin "makazze" Shaqiri had called them cheaters at one point, with TNL coming into the series with a chip on their shoulder.
David "Dawy" Bibik's hot start (7-1 K-D) helped his team lead early on Ancient, but they were set back as Natus Vincere responded to go up 11-6 early after the swap. TNL's ultra-aggressive defense caught Natus Vincere off-guard once guns came back up, however, and a handful of clutches allowed the Ukrainian roster to steal away a win in overtime.
That effort proved all for naught as Natus Vincere stormed to victory on Nuke and Mirage, led by a 9-0 opening duel record from makazze on the former and 1.92-rated T side from Ihor "w0nderful" Zhdanov on the latter to allow NAVI to respond with aplomb.
A labored defense on Dust2 saw IEM Cologne champions Spirit fumble an 8-4 lead to lose their Dust2 pick to Passion UA, but stalwart CT efforts on Mirage and Ancient kept the series from spiraling away.
A few clutches and an overall excellent series from Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov were key in that effort, with Myroslav "zont1x" Plakhotia and Ivan "zweih" Gogin stepping up alongside him on Mirage and Ancient, respectively, to complete the reverse-sweep.
Astralis brought a swift end to the day with authoritative dominance over Rare Atom, helmed by an unbelievable 15-2 K-D from Victor "Staehr" Staehr just seven rounds into Ancient.
The Dane combined with Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard to crush the Chinese team 13-1 to start the series, followed by Martin "stavn" Lund stepping up on Overpass to let Astralis romp to a straightforward victory.
Half of the 16 opening games in BLAST Bounty Season 2 are now complete, with four more set to be played on day three. The schedule for the next matchups can be found below:
