VP claw past FaZe to reach BLAST Bounty Finals

The Russian side came back from a 4-9 deficit on Inferno to secure their spot in Malta.

Virtus.pro have secured their place in the BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 2 Finals, marching past FaZe 2-1, a welcome result for Denis "⁠electroNic⁠" Sharipov's men as they look to bounce back from a disappointing IEM Cologne outing.

The series began on Overpass, where we got the first glimpse of FaZe on the map pool's new addition. Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen's troops had a slow start and found themselves 3-5 down on the CT side before Helvijs "⁠broky⁠" Saukants warmed up his AWP, which allowed FaZe to win four in a row to take a two-round lead into the switch.

A second-half pistol seemed to have given FaZe a nice platform for victory, but the European squad fumbled against a full eco in the second round and won only two rounds for the rest of the half, losing the map 10-13 due to a lackluster T-side.

Ancient began with a Kaisar "⁠ICY⁠" Faiznurov ace pop-off in the pistol that set Virtus.pro up for an early 4-0 lead, but FaZe were visibly the better team once they got their guns out. They went on to lose just one more round as Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski went rampant on Mid, but Virtus.pro's second pistol of the map quickly leveled up the score.

The American rifler kept up his reign of terror on the CT side. He finished the map on 25 kills, 126 ADR, and a 1.72 rating to spearhead FaZe's 13-9 victory and force the Inferno decider.

Virtus.pro pocketed an early lead on the defense with a pistol win, but FaZe quickly emerged as the victors of the first half. Relentless hits on the A site, fueled by solid performances from Håvard "⁠rain⁠" Nygaard and EliGE, allowed the international side to claim an 8-4 half as they headed to the CT side.

After karrigan stole away the second pistol with a stunning 1v3, it seemed that all hope was lost for Virtus.pro in this series. electroNic's men were not content to just roll over, however, as the Russians immediately retorted with a force-buy win that gave way to a dominant T-side run. All told, Virtus.pro won nine rounds in a row on the offense to lock down Inferno 13-9 and the series 2-1.
