Imperial punched their ticket to CS Asia Championships 2025 on Sunday after beating Fluxo in the grand final of the Americas qualifier. There is now only one spot left at the Chinese tournament, which will take place from October 14 to 19 in Shanghai, with $1 million on the line.

As one of the two highest seeds in the qualifier, Imperial advanced straight to the semi-finals, the first stage to feature a best-of-three format. They edged past BESTIA in a closely contested series in which the decider map went to overtime.

In the other semi-final match, Fluxo were given a default win over 9z, who could not field an eligible roster as Luca "⁠Luken⁠" Nadotti was a no-show for the match.

In a post on X, the Argentinian player explained that because of personal issues, he had to take a pill to calm down and ended up sleeping through the match. "I'm very sad about this, and all I can do is take responsibility for what happened," he wrote on X. "I'm sorry."

The grand final was settled in two maps that went the distance, with José "⁠Shr⁠" Gil leading the charge for Imperial with a 1.21 rating in what was likely his final appearance with the team. According to recent reports, the Portuguese player will be replaced by Felipe "⁠skullz⁠" Medeiros, who will be joining the team on loan from FURIA.

It was the perfect ending to an important week for Imperial, who also won the Circuito FERJEE de Esports 2025 Finals on LAN to pick up some valuable VRS points. They are currently ranked seventh in the Americas, only 18 points behind M80.

The final spot at CAC will go to the winner of the Asian Closed Qualifier, scheduled for September 15-16. The team list for the Chinese LAN currently looks as follows:
