Shr's time with the Brazilian side ends after just one month.

skullz returns to the server for the first time since his stand-in stint with FaZe

Felipe "⁠skullz⁠" Medeiros has replaced José "⁠Shr⁠" Gil on Imperial's Counter-Strike 2 roster, the Brazilian organization announced on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old was brought in from FURIA, where he has been sitting on the bench since he was replaced by Mareks "⁠YEKINDAR⁠" Gaļinskis in April.

Since then, the only time he was back in the server was at IEM Dallas, when he briefly stood in for FaZe while Håvard "⁠rain⁠" Nygaard anticipated the birth of his second child.

The move brings an end to Shr's short-lived stint with Imperial, which lasted just one month after he was brought in from SAW during the summer off-season.

The Portuguese rifler ended up playing a respectable 51 maps in that time with the Imperial side, averaging a 0.96 rating while helping the team with three of the five regional competitions they played in South America.

as i said, thats not in defense of shr, yes skullz had awesome games, actually even some events like his solid major performance with furia, but overall on his time with Liquid, Furia and not taking that too seriously but his maps on faze, wasn't good at all, he surely has his moments and he is talented. Benching S is understandable... going full BR and recycling the most experienced players in the scene makes sense.... But the way it was handled came across as unprofessional and frankly, pretty cruel to someone who had left everything behind. New continent, constant PC issues during his first two weeks and even though the language is the same, the comms and callouts are completely different. Despite all of that, I think he adapted fairly quickly. Stat-wise he was a bit inconsistent, but he still had a strong impact in important games, being the 2nd best player in the team for many games. S remained professional despite knowing he was benched , that's what really matters.. ggs

What a trashy team, how they treat people like that... In the decisive games, SHR always carried the ball, there's no justification for this kick... I'm not a big fan of Shr but this move just shows how incapable the 2.0 rating is of assessing a player's quality and efficiency. Shr in these tournaments has had absurd rounds with double and triple entries, but as he is the first to show his face in most situations he ends up dying in many rounds without causing any damage. Those who play the key positions and those who hit will always farm the stats and then those who don't really understand the game think that the piano carriers are always the team's problems.
