MIBR sign kl1m from G2 Academy on loan

The Brazilian organization has followed in FURIA's footsteps by going international with a Russophone sniper.

MIBR have bolstered their ranks with Klimentii "⁠kl1m⁠" Krivosheev and shifted to an international roster, confirming a report by Dust2.com.br.

The youngster, who joins on loan, will take the place of underperforming AWPer Rafael "⁠saffee⁠" Costa in the wake of the team falling out of the top 20 at the start of this season.

MIBR's international move follows fellow Brazilian organization FURIA, who found success after signing a relatively untested Danil "⁠molodoy⁠" Golubenko.

kl1m has only played four maps against top 50 opposition in his career, but the 19-year-old starlet has been the standout for G2 Ares with a 1.21 rating in 2025. The academy outfit have recently found a rich vein of form, winning Exort Series 11 (where kl1m put up a 1.32 rating) and United21 League Season 35 (1.37 rating).

Aggressive on CT side (83 Opening) and a strong clutcher on T (91 Clutching), kl1m's task will be to improve the team's firepower enough for a switch to speaking English to be worth it. saffee's benchmark, of a 0.96 rating this year, is certainly an achievable one.

Typically a loan comes with a pre-established value for the team to buy the player it in the end of the contract as naturally they would want to be able to keep the player if he does well, but it's Mibr we are talking about so who knows

I haven't played competitive CS (league matches) since international teams/recruiting outside your region started becoming more of the norm. I do wonder if this is OK for CS's long term future. Are there still as many teams competing in ESEA as there were say 3 years ago? If faceit/academy teams become the main way to get into the pro scene that is really going to hurt the long-term future of the game in my opinion.
