donk posts 2.05 rating on day 2 of BLAST London
The Russian superstar carried Spirit to an easy victory to help the team cast off their recent early exit from Esports World Cup.

The favorites continued to find success as BLAST Open London hit day two, with the higher-ranked squad winning every game played in the first round of Group B.
MOUZ, G2, Spirit and FURIA all bagged victories to send themselves through to the upper bracket, whilst Imperial, Liquid, FlyQuest and Legacy are left fighting for their tournament lives in the lower bracket.

Spirit shrug off EWC disappointment
Spirit may have struggled in their Esports World Cup campaign, suffering a disappointing early exit at the hands of HEROIC, but they cast aside any lingering doubts to put FlyQuest to bed with ease.
Danil "donk" Kryshkovets seemed in particular to have a point to prove as he ruthlessly brushed FlyQuest aside, finishing the series with a 2.05 rating, +9.89% swing, and a string of stylish highlights to boot.
MOUZ recover from poor start
MOUZ kicked off the day by getting walloped on Overpass by Imperial, making the European combine 1-2 on the map since its return to the pool, however Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin and company recovered from the early setback to take a 2-1 series victory.
After Felipe "skullz" Medeiros led Imperial to the win on Overpass on his debut, MOUZ ran the series back thanks to imperious CT sides, Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás and Dorian "xertioN" Berman putting up impressive numbers to ensure smooth sailing.
G2 leave Liquid scratching their heads
The closest matchup on paper saw G2 take on Liquid, the latter fresh from running Vitality close in back-to-back tournaments, but it was the former who put on a convincing display to run out comfortable 2-0 winners.

Every G2 rifler put on a show to send Liquid down to the lower bracket, but Álvaro "SunPayus" García continued his struggles to find form in a G2 jersey. Liquid meanwhile will be left scratching their heads as to where the performances that saw them battle hard with Vitality disappeared to.
FURIA triumph in Brazilian derby
A Brazilian derby closed the day's games, with FURIA coming out on top in 2-1 fashion to secure a relatively straightforward victory over Legacy.
Both teams took their maps comfortably thanks to powerful T-side showings before FURIA dominated the decider of Mirage to secure their spot in the upper bracket, with Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato and Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis doing the heavy lifting.
Play continues in BLAST Open London on August 29 with another four matches as Group A reaches its conclusion.
