phzy returns to Wildcard roster

The Swede will take the place of fr3nd, who is moved to the bench.

Wildcard have announced Love "⁠phzy⁠" Smidebrant is set to replace Sebastian "⁠fr3nd⁠" Kuśmierz on the active roster, ending the Pole's two-month stint on the team.

fr3nd joined the team in July as part of Wildcard's summer rebuild, during which phzy was benched alongside IGL Peter "⁠stanislaw⁠" Jarguz.

The move follows an incredibly turbulent period for the team, which has undergone a plethora of changes since the start of the summer break.

The aforementioned removal of stanislaw and phzy in July began the chaotic spell, with fr3nd and Jaxon "⁠Peeping⁠" Cornwell joining in their place. Shortly after, stanislaw returned to take over IGLing in place of Tim "⁠susp⁠" Ångström, while Aran "⁠Sonic⁠" Groesbeek departed for NRG shortly after.

Wildcard then signed Maciej "⁠F1KU⁠" Miklas to replace the South African in a move that broke Wildcard's three-man core, but the organization has now recalled phzy from his 9INE loan to rectify that situation.

The Swedish AWPer is set to make his second Wildcard debut at Fragadelphia Fragville 2025, set to begin on September 5.
