HeavyGod secures career-first MVP at BLAST Open London
A masterful grand final decider performance helped HeavyGod get his hands on his first medal.

Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko has been named the HLTV x 1XBET Most Valuable Player of BLAST Open London after leading G2's title-winning campaign at the event.
The 23-year-old came out on top of a fierce battle to the accolade that came down to the map five decider between Vitality and G2, where HeavyGod played his best map of the event while Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut's red-hot form from maps two and three fizzled out.
But he was already a leading candidate before that heading into the grand final off the back of superb performances against FaZe and FURIA in the playoffs, as well as in the online group stage against Spirit in particular.
Overall, he ended up topping the charts for his team at a 1.25 rating and 1.32 in the LAN portion, only narrowly being surpassed by ZywOo and closely followed by teammate Matúš "MATYS" Šimko, whose impactful playoff performances are sure to earn him a top EVP billing.
On top of his consistent output, a 0.73 KPR and 19.7% rounds with a multi-kill, HeavyGod was a particularly difficult player to kill (0.56 DPR) and especially stood out in clutch play, with his three clutches in the Train decider against Vitality making all the difference in the end.
