FISSURE Playground 2 teams, format, schedule, talent, prizes, fantasy

The second edition of the Serbian tournament kicks off on Friday. Here's everything you need to know about it.

Teams and format

FISSURE Playground 2 boasts 16 teams that were invited based on their standing on the Global VRS as of July. Some of the top teams such as Spirit, MOUZ and Vitality decided against participating, but the competition still features most of the current top 10.

That includes Falcons and The MongolZ, who will return to top-tier competition after skipping BLAST Open London:

The road will begin with a full best-of-three Swiss stage, from where eight teams will move on to a single-elimination bracket for the playoffs, taking place in the Belgrade Arena. Tickets are available for purchase on FISSURE's website.

Schedule

FISSURE Playground 2 will take place over the course of 10 days, from September 12-21.

The opening round of the Swiss stage will span the first two days of the event on Friday and Saturday. Rounds 2-5 will be played from Sunday to Wednesday, followed by an off-day on Thursday and the playoffs on Friday to Sunday.

FISSURE Playground 2 boasts a $1.25 million prize pool, which is split between a player and club share:

1. $200,000 + $160,000 club share
2. $100,000 + $130,000 club share
3-4. $40,000 + $90,000 club share
5-8. $17,500 + $50,000 club share
9-11. $10,000 + $13,300 club share
12-14. $5,000 + $10,000 club share
15-16. $2,500 + $5,000 club share

Fantasy

The HLTV Fantasy for FISSURE Playground 2 will be split into two games: the Swiss group stage and the playoffs.
