Liquid announce EliGE's return

The American rifler is reunited with the organization he played under for eight years.

Liquid have unveiled the signing of Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski from FaZe, bringing back the 28-year-old in a trade for Russel "⁠Twistzz⁠" Van Dulken.

The six-time top 20 player of the year has sat on the sidelines since he was benched by FaZe in August to make room for Jakub "⁠jcobbb⁠" Pietruszewski, and now returns to the organization he called home for over eight years.

Twistzz makes shock FaZe return

The American represented Liquid from March 2015 to June 2023, during which he enjoyed the most successful period of his career. He won a raft of notable trophies, including ESL One Cologne 2019, DreamHack Masters Dallas, IEM Sydney, and became champion of Intel Grand Slam Season 2 in a record 63 days.

Liquid were never the same after the online era and Twistzz's departure to FaZe, and after several roster changes, EliGE departed for Complexity. Success never followed, however, with the team lifting just one trophy at ESL Challenger Jönköping amidst struggles at the biggest events.

EliGE remained an elite-level player during that stint and moved to FaZe at the start of 2025, expressing his desire to be in a place where he could win trophies, but the change failed to bear fruit. The American rifler tallied a 1.11 rating during his tenure, but FaZe struggled to find a balance with EliGE's aggression a mismatched replacement for the passive excellence that had been provided by Robin "⁠ropz⁠" Kool.

He returns to a Liquid side that has been in a freefall of its own, one that it only started to pull out of at FISSURE Playground 2 by clinching a StarLadder Budapest Major berth after the news of Twistzz's impending departure.

EliGE's first outing with Liquid will be at Birch Cup, a $15,000 LAN in Gdansk, Poland that will run from September 26-28.

Indeed, i mean he is mechanically really good, but his decision making with AWP is just bad if you ask me, and i watched him a lot. I even think he would be better with rifle only
