OG secure first LAN trophy at DraculaN Season 2

OG hoisted the trophy over Passion UA despite Grim's 3.20 rating on Train.

OG have taken down Passion UA 2-1 in the grand final of DraculaN Season 2, earning the international side their first-ever LAN trophy after nearly six years in Counter-Strike.

This result caps off a solid run for OG, who managed to skirt the lower bracket after bagging victories over AM, SINNERS, ECSTATIC, and BASEMENT BOYS before securing their win in the grand final.

While OG will no doubt be enjoying their victory, Christoffer "⁠Chr1zN⁠" Storgaard's men still have more work to do as they aim to clinch a berth at the StarLadder Budapest Major. OG now sit at #22 in Europe, only 31 points away from Virtus.pro, the lowest-ranked team currently slated to reach the Major.

In order to make up those points, OG will now be preparing for more campaigns at local LANs, as they are scheduled to play at Urban Rige Open Season 1 in Latvia, and Fragadelphia Blocktober in the United States.

"We need to go to Riga with confidence," shared OG coach Lambert "⁠Lambert⁠" Prigent after his team's victory. "Of course, we are exhausted, but after Riga and Fragadelphia, we can still have some days, so we have to give everything."

OG had a tough start in the grand final against Passion UA, enduring a 1-7 deficit to kick off their own map pick of Ancient. Undeterred, OG stopped the bleeding with three more rounds in the first half, before storming ahead once on the CT-side, letting slip just one more round before taking the map 13-9.

After letting Ancient fall from their grasp, Passion UA came back with a vengeance on Train, fueled by a jaw-dropping performance from Michael "⁠Grim⁠" Wince. The American rifler posted a 29-6 K/D, 162.2 ADR, and a whopping +24.95% Swing to net a stunning 3.20 rating, pushing his team to a one-sided 13-3 win on Train.

The first half of the Nuke decider offered a streaky back-and-forth affair between the two sides, but once OG made the jump to the CT-side, the map quickly spiraled away from Passion UA. OG claimed a 7-0 run on the defense to lock down the decider 13-6, earning them the DraculaN Season 2 trophy.
