ESL Pro League Season 22HOTU out of EPL with a whimper after promising start
HOTU's machine ran out of steam in their last three matches after they took the likes of The MongolZ and FURIA by surprise.
HOTU's campaign at ESL Pro League Season 22 has come to an end with the Russian side going out of Stage 2 with a 1-3 score following a 0-2 loss to Natus Vincere.
As one of the surprises of the tournament, David "n0rb3r7" Danielyan's team raced past the competition in Stage 1 after getting their campaign started with a win over FURIA and went on to kick off Stage 2 with another big scalp over The MongolZ.

But they ended up going out of the tournament in Sweden with a whimper despite the rocket start, only winning around seven rounds per map in a tough run of opponents: Spirit, Vitality and Natus Vincere.
HOTU nonetheless come away with their best result yet and a huge injection of points on the Valve Regional Standings.
From No. 46 at the beginning of their run, they now sit in 25th place of the Global ranking, just ahead of Virtus.pro — a symbolic victory of sorts for n0rb3r7 himself, who was a driving force with a 1.24 rating in the team's four wins.
Meanwhile, Natus Vincere moved on to the deciding fifth round of play at ESL Pro League, where they'll face off against another 2-2 team in a do-or-die match for playoffs on Wednesday.
