mibr with KODE5 Latin Am. chance

The organisation behind the Brazilian qualifier for KODE5 Latin America has announced that mibr will contest the one spot with GoldenGlory.

crashers had initially won the right to attend the Latin KODE5 stop, but they have declined the chance to do so, just like the teams that placed from second to fourth.

In an effort to have one Brazilian team at the event, which will take place from 20-23 May in Bogota, Colombia, the KODE5 organisation contacted the two teams that placed 5-6 in the qualifier, Made in Brazil and GoldenGlory.

Both teams have confirmed they are interested in attending the event and have the means to do so, which made KODE5 schedule a best-of-three match between the two for tonight at 23.30 (local time).

The winner of the match will only receive paid accomodation to the event, which will feature several teams from across Latin America.

23:00 (Time of the #5 post - CET) - 8 hours = 18:00 in Brazil (at least in some areas, in others it would be 17:00 thus 9 hours less). Clearer now? ::)

They will try the spot on KOde5 Brazil for the global finals, since to the kode5 latin america they have to pay for the travel and stuff.

I don't understand. for what I saw, the winner would have the travel expenses etc covered, and they won't attend? if they don't want to attend why the hell did they attend to the qualifier? lol

I honestly do not know. Maybe the team was in talks with someone and in the end it did not work out or wanted to see if someone offered them a deal etc.

well even if they were not able to afford travel expenses, they would have attended the qualifier to prove themselves on a bigger stage..that is one step forward towards getting good sponsorships in the future..

Excluding mibr, brazilian teams don't have financial conditions to travel around the world, unfortunately. It's sad because if more teams have that conditions, counter-strike brazilian scene could evolve much more.
