Two four-team double-elimination groups.
Four-team single-elimination playoffs with a third-place decider.
Except for the BO5 Grand Final, all matches are BO3.

Things to note 

Teams winning the upper final will get one round of padding.
With the inclusion of a third-place decider, it’s important to have players making playoffs to secure points, as all the teams to do so will guarantee themselves two matches to earn points from.
BO5 grand final will give 25% more rating points than usual.

Player prices & pick stats

With the sharp gap between the four invited and the four qualified teams, the latter have all the bronze cards of the game. The most expensive player of the four teams, Santino "⁠try⁠" Rigal, goes for mere $202k with a 1.28 rating in the last three months. It will likely be hard to make a case for the qualified teams as your core, but picking one cheap player from the group may enable you to get more expensive favorites while not losing a lot on your safer pick.

With this game including both playoffs and group stage, it’s especially important to go for the teams that you’re most confident in to make the playoffs. And, considering this event is not included in the Season, your best shot for prizes might be getting risky and going for long shots.

'"Imbalanced" means something is not balanced, even, or in proper proportion. This can refer to a physical state, like losing your balance, or a more abstract situation, such as an unequal distribution of resources, power, or chemical compounds.' Pretty sure you can use imbalanced and unbalanced interchangeably here (not 100% sure)

Chegndu will (rightfully) be season. It's just that they want a lot of people to play them and they uses popular teams to do so. If 2 of the 4 top teams in TP decided to attend CAC, They would have make it season. I think it's stupid because: - Fantasy boost interest for many tournaments, not the other way around. - Fantasy should "showcase" more cs knowledge than who can pair Donk better. That's why fantasies for tournaments like CAC should be season from time to time. It's not a CCT. 13 out of 16 team attending Budapest will play in this.

tbf donk's not as much of a guarantee as he used to be. But It would've been cool to see. I feel like they need to find a better way to deal with weird tournament brackets like this one. In the most recent DOTA 2 TI fantasy it used player stats from the best 2 performing games. So a good player might be on a team with a bye, so there's less sample size in games but higher chance their best games will still be better than other players. Was a pretty cool idea.

Ofc Tournament with t2 teams and bo1 games should be seasonal. Tournament with 4 top10 teams(2,6,8,9) shouldn`t be seasonal. Genius. In my opinion, none of these tournaments should be seasonal.

You probably the one who came up with this bs. The fact that thunderpick has 4 top teams means nothing due to tournament only having 8, 4 of which are gonna get destroyed, making fantasy unbalanced. On the other hand cac has plenty of strong teams way above cct tier, that give a room of picks. But sure, look only at how many top10 teams tournament has, it's obv a good metrica if you have no clue

idk TWC is one of most hard fantasy tournaments for me yet. All kind of good players extremely expensive and u have to make team for all tournament long on top of that.
