3DMAX head to CAC semis over fnatic

The highest-ranked side remaining in the event are now just two wins away from the trophy.

3DMAX have secured their place in the semi-finals of the CS Asia Championships 2025, battling past fnatic in a three-map series. The self-described favorite of the event will now be preparing for a semi-final bout against one of the other heavyweights remaining in the event, Liquid.

Lucky: "I think we're the favorite here, so hopefully we can live up to it"

The first quarter-final of the event kicked off on 3DMAX's pick of Inferno, where Filip "Graviti" Brankovic's troops blitzed ahead to an 8-1 start on the T-side. fnatic managed to soften the blow with the final three rounds of the half, but a pistol round victory for 3DMAX allowed them to wrap up their pick 13-5 with little further resistance.

fnatic remained undeterred on their pick of Train, winning a second-round force buy to build up an early lead on the offense, ultimately settling on a 7-5 lead at the half. An 11-0 CT-side gave fnatic the push they needed, earning them a 13-7 map win and a shot at the semi-finals on the Dust2 decider.

3DMAX came out swinging on Dust2 with a 5-0 lead to start things off, but fnatic rallied to finish the half 6-6 as the Ukrainian-majority side prepared to switch to the offense. The game descended into a messy brawl in the second half, with 3DMAX ultimately getting the better end of the deal thanks to a crucial triple from Graviti with a weak buy and a loss to time by fnatic. In the end, 3DMAX locked down Dust2 13-9 to keep their hopes of a tournament win at CAC alive.

i mean it s the major situation, otherwise it would be fine. who gets the sticker even if it was another player getting replaced just before the major it would be the same.

seems old mate wasn't much better. Team dynamic plays a much bigger role than raw stats and that showed today.

how do you think they qualified in the first place? all roads lead back to cypher lol. Anyway, I'm not even a fnatic fan just hurts to see an org that was once so powerful and influential falling so flat and showing such a lack of experience in leadership

All roads lead to blamef. They failed in birth cup and the couple of events before that. Then they added jack not cypher. Cypher was there all along the loses
