SK to use Xizt for SEC qualifier

HLTV.org has learned that SK Gaming will use H2k Gaming star Richard "Xizt" Landström at the qualifier for the Samsung European Championship.

The Swedish player will fill in for Jimmy "allen" Allen, who is unable to take part in the competition as he is currently away on holiday.

This is the second stand-in announcement by SK Gaming in the space of days, after it was confirmed that Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed would play for them in the EPS Nordic showdown with mTw.

SK Gaming have been drawn with Dignitas, Lions and BAHURWA for the first qualifier of SEC, which will kick off tonight.

The Swedish team's first match in the competition will only be played on Tuesday, against Lions, at 20.00 CET.

SK Gaming will feature the following line-up at the SEC qualifier:

Dennis "walle" Wallenberg
Johan "face" Klasson
Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström
Andreas "moddii" Fridh
Richard "Xizt" Landström

fOrest was the best player in 2006 and arguably the best since then, gtr best player in 2009 togheter with gux.. so please tell me or inlight me what xzit, moddii or face won or did the last couple of years so you can say something like moddii > f0rest face > Gux Xizt > GeT_RiGhT? thats quite better than your previous post, but well have u seen MODDII playin this past two weeks with SK-Gaming? when the guy is a beast against "random clans" everybody says "he's playing well cuz he plays against naabs, he will never be able to frag that much against topclans", but he just did it yesterday against mTw...anyway i just don't like this "><" thing, even if i did it two or three times myself :)

I can say I can frag as hard as f0rest or gux or gtr, but that isn't a valid argument. I can bring you as argument the tournaments and the rating and k/d ratio for f0rest gux and gtr, and if I look at face, moddii or xzit they are below them.. You may say that they can frag as much as gtr f0rest or gux, but till they do that this are just words not facts, they are not so close in terms of consistency as you see them..

You are right, for the most part. But to say that anyone is better than f0rest at this point just seems silly to me. if you've been following the CS-scene for the last 6 months or so, he has without a doubt been the best player in the world. i would say that the only one even coming close to f0rests consistency of play for the majority of 2010 would be trace, from mTw.

+1. God bless people who put their brains to good use. <3 It's really ridiculous to bring up f0rest's comparison to any other player, except for neo. Heck, he's even better than neo in the past months. Comments like -insert player name here- > f0rest really makes me want to kick a bunny to death and dissect it. Why? 1) To say things like [player] > f0rest, you have to wait until [player] plays against him and beats the crap out of him numerous times in most if not all events he attends. Otherwise, zip it until it happens. 2) To rightfully compare one player to another, you need to look at their achievements, the peak of their careers, and their period of dominance. For instance, f0rest has been around the scene for ages now, and to this day, he is still winning medals. He is still outclassing his opponents. Now if you compare him to MODDII.. that would be an insult to the whole pro scene. I don't have anything against MODDII, he's a raw diamond that can be polished. He'll surely have his moments in the future.. but to compare him with f0rest right now is downright ridiculous. What does he have that f0rest doesn't? And vice versa. 3) If you are going to compare players in aim maps, then yes, many pros and some non pros > f0rest. But how's that relevant as an overall player? 4) Bind "+brain".

You really don't seem to like allen, well many people like him and there's a reason. He is gr8 player. Yet you're right at one thing, walle has to retire because he can't deal with it anymore since he ain't the IGL. +moddii +delpan/xizt = RobbaN,allen,face,moddii,Delpan/Xizt depends on will they have more awp or rifle tactics. edit: some say Delpan has bad manners in team, so it might be bad move aswell. Seems like you forgot that since mTw changed their lineup they didn't do very well for quite some time, and now they are a top 5 team. i really think it can be the same for SK, they just need to get a stable lineup and keep playing. And they were on the right way with Gux, winning inferno online and coming second on ESWC

just because mTw succeded doesn't mean SK will. They HAVE played with the same lineup for a LONG time now. REALLY LONG TIME and nothing has happened. Just realize it already. They need to cut Walle and also allen (in my opinion allen needs to be cut). Because they need 2 new fresh madskilled players.

The core have played together for a long time yes, but so have the core players in fnatic,mtw, FX etc. But they have been switching players around alot and i really think thats whats hurting the team, its a teamgame afterall, and anyone who have played on somewhat high level of the game understands just how important teamwork is. And i really think its wierd you think allen is bad, he is probably one of the better players in sweden.

Yes the core of SK has played together for a long time (Walle, RobbaN, allen) and your right so has the core of fnatic (cArn, f0rest, dsn) and also mTw (ave, Sunde zonic) but the difference between the core of fnatic/mTw and the core of SK is that... THEY DON'T PERFORM ! while the core of fnatic (cArn, f0rest, dsn) ALWAYS performs. and also the core of mTw (sunde, zonic, ave) often ALWAYS performs too. so you see... it doesn't matter how long the core of SK has played together because they simply don't perform together and they are washed up ! only one i would keep from that core is RobbaN. because keeping more than one of the core-trio would still mean being stuck in the past. With the same old recipe. And i didn't say allen is bad. I just think there are alot more stable players out there.

if they removed allen and replaced him with a better player and more confident person that would acctually be a double-win. they would get a better player + they would get a less shy person who would be more willing to accept interviews and commercials and promoting the team and sponsors.

I dont think Xizt will join SK permantly, bc h2k just changed a player and Xizt is still in the lineup, that would be kinda strange. But if it's true that pronax and Xizt are good friends and Xizt dont wanne play in h2k bc they kicked pronax maybe....

ForGod sake stop supporting Sk on this matter MR SK FAN BOY . Sk has pure history about breaking consistent lineup in sweden . When there was h2k having face and kHRYSTAL in it , they removed tentpole and one other i dun remember right now and they grab kHRYSTAL and face . WHAT EXACTLY WAS THAT ??? u will see laterz sk definately going to offer xizt to play for them .

Nah. They need someone like him even though he doesn't frag that much. RobbaN is like dsn in terms of fragging where he does his job and sometimes can go nuts, and walle is like cArn and just plays smart. With Xizt, face and moddii to do the fragging they'll be fine. Plus walle awps better than most of the team, along with RobbaN.

SKswe lineup is terrible as long there are robban, walle and allen and they keep their usual: failure after failure. pretty shame that SK managers dont see that. SKswe was once team that really could dominate, but nowadays..

So replacing a very good Allen with a already good player in Xizt is going to be nothing profound for SK.. they can still run into problems ... but if you add SpawN in for walle or Allen decides to play for walle then you can see just how great this team can be ... Allen is on his Phantom Vacation , i guess anytime you decide not to play CS we can call it a Vacation.. SK management is afraid to tell walle to step-down...

Who said anything about replacing allen with Xizt. Allen is on holidays, i was just saying Xizt is a great player and as walle has stated; they will have some changes done in the coming weeks! And stop with the SpawN talk. No one wants to see him in SK again. Nothing good could come out of that.
