k1ck win IEM5 qualifier

k1ck eSports Club came from behind to beat Paranoids 2-1 and earn a place in the IEM European Championship Qualifying Round 1.

k1ck had dropped into the Lower Bracket after a 16-3 defeat to Paranoids earlier in the tournament, but a strange tournament setup saw the final being played in a best-of-three format, with no advantage given to the Upper Bracket finalist.

After a slow start to the match, losing de_nuke 16-13, k1ck controlled the tempo on de_train and de_inferno to win both maps 16-12 and 16-9, respectively.

Broken tag

k1ck have now qualified for the IEM European Championship Qualifying Round 1, which starts next week and will feature a total of 24 teams.

two stand in.. one of them was playing better then almost every1 in that team.. and we beat them on train which a very hard map when they had cyx.. the whole match more about fox vs cyx then k1ck vs mouz

No, he didn't. It's a perfectly common expression, specially in sports, to say someone is "controlling the tempo", meaning they were in control of the pace or the rhythm of something (in the case of sports, the pace of the match). And even if it wasn't, if you think about it the sentence wouldn't even make sense in Portuguese... how is saying someone controlled time a legitimate way to demonstrate their performance in a match? Just google "controlling the tempo of the match" (with quotation marks) and you'll see how common it is :).
