IEM Europe group draw

The Electronic Sports League has announced the groups for the upcoming Intel Extreme Masters European Championship.

Defending champions mousesports have been paired together with Swedish highfliers Lions, Russian giants forZe and French opposition mythiX, with CHEAPTIMES and Free agents from Denmark and the UK, respectively, making up the rest of the group.

fnatic have been handed a relatively easy group, with only MYM looking like a real threat, while Frag eXecutors will not exactly be cursing their luck either, having to fend off the likes of Iron Will and LDLC.com.

World champion Natus Vincere will be wary of Scandinavian trio Power Gaming, Begrip Gamimg and Online Kingdom, in a group that also features German veterans n!faculty and Portuguese side k1ck eSports Club.

Each match will be played in a best-of-three mode, with the winner being rewarded with $200 for the result. In the end, only the top-placed side from each group will automatically receive a spot at the European Championship Finals, where $50,000 will be up for grabs. The teams that finish second and third will enter a relegation stage for the other six spots.

after came back from military service there were at 2 events and placed top3 both: 2nd Nordic WCG qualifier and 3rd SEC so they are enough good to place at least 2nd in that group

Seems to me that group D is the hardest one by far, but I believe in OK! My prediction for group D: 1. Na'Vi. 2. Online-Kingdom. : DDD 3. Power-Gaming.(I guess they would have taken the second place quite easily if ruuit hadn't quit cs. 4/5. Begrip and n!faculty. I don't know exactly how good these teams are, but they might create some upsets. 6. k1ck. Sorry fanboys, but since it is offline it might be a huge disadvantage for them..

Group D and F the most interesting ones for sure. Could see navi taking the first place at D and OK and pg fighting for the 2nd spot. What comes to F , i think that group is pretty unpredictable and also interesting one , many could say that mTw is going to roll that group but imo Alternate and Millenium are in the same line with them. So we're about to see some nice matches i suppose ^^
