WEM 2010 announced with $69,000
JoongAng Culture Media, the organizers of World e-Sports Masters have announced the 2010 event to take place November 3-7 in Hangzhou with a $69,000 prize purse for Counter-Strike.
Ever since the 2009 edition of World e-Sports Masters ended with fnatic claiming victory, there has not been any news about a 2010 edition, but this ends now, as the 2010 edition of the event is going to take place November 3-7.
WEM will for the third year in a row take place in the Chinese city of Hangzhou and will for the second year in a row take place at the Hangzhou Electronic Science and Technology University. Last year the event had $46,000 for the Counter-Strike competition, but this year the competition will pump out $69,000.

2009 champions from fnatic
The tournament will have eight teams participating, just like the previous years, starting off in a group stage with two groups of four teams, continuing to the playoffs, which will be played in a best-of-one map double-elimination bracket.
There is not a detailed breakdown of the prize distribution or teams participating list announced yet, but the organizers told HLTV.org, that the participants will be revealed next week.
