SK target Na´Vi capture - Report

A sensational report from Germany suggests that SK Gaming are looking to sign Ukrainian team Natus Vincere.

The revelation was made on ESL TV by commentator Bakr "KinGSaicx" Fadl during the EPS match between Alternate and TBH.ASUS, played last night.

Fadl also claims that reports within EPS teams suggest that mousesports are interested in signining two players from either SK Gaming or Frag eXecutors.

SK have been a four-man team since the departure of Rasmus "Gux" Ståhl to fnatic in the summer, with Andreas "moddii" Fridh brought in to replace him, initially on a temporary basis.

Fridh's impressive displays have made him continue on the team, but there has been no indication from SK as to whether he has signed a deal with them.

Na´Vi on SK Gaming's radar?

Speculation has suggested that changes could be on SK's way, after team manager Dominic "immo" Koller was called in to replace Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström, who is allegedly suffering from food poisoning, in their recent online matches.

Marcus "Delpan" Larsson was yesterday confirmed as Dahlström's replacement at the World e-Sports Masters, a move which has drawn much suspicion as the event is still two weeks away.

Natus Vincere, who have won several titles this year, including the ESWC and WCG, only rely on the support of Kazakh millionaire Murat "Arbalet" Zhumashevich, and could well eye a move to an established organisation, hoping to find some stable support.

In the event of SK Gaming successfully luring Na´Vi into their ranks, the future of the Swedish players look to be in doubt, but mousesports could be willing to offer them an escape route.

they won't drop the swedish team, yet anyway, this lineup is representing SK at two tournaments in china, and they just announced Delpan as the stand-in, and i think they have a chance to beat Na`Vi (i hope not) or fnatic and maybe win the tournament..and then what? they would just drop them? First off Neo has been offered spots on German teams in the past with better conditions and he's declined. Although Poles don't hate Germans they don't really like Germany either. It's just one of those things we can't help. If I meet a German I can be kind to him/her and even become great friends with him/her - however I will always root against Germany in the world cup and what not. It's weird... For that reason I highly doubt anyone from Fx would go to mouz.

Yeah that's true. It is obvious to say that any organization would want to have team like navi in it, I won't be surprised if even fnatic's management were sometime dreaming about "Yeah, that would be nice if we had these guys". Concerning SK, their achivements and gamelevel had significantly dropped since khrystal left the team and the team is in trouble with the unstable roster. To change such conditions SK want to find some guys, which would compete on the world champs and moreover would be at least a top3 team. So it is not a secret that SK are viewing Na'Vi team as one of the main contender. We all know who these guys today are, they are at least 2nd or even 1st for today with fnatic (depends on the day the are meeting). Likewise SK is aiming to acquire these team, Na'Vi will definitely will make the SK dreams come true, Na'Vi will bring back times when SK teg was placed on top of many biggest championships like it was in the far past when there were Heaton, Fisker, Spawn and many others. What SK gaming can offer Na'Vi: 1) One of the best options for training. 2) Well organization( in terms of time managemetns and other tricky questions. 3) Salary. 4) Participation on any champ they want. and the last one but not the least 6) Brand and promotion - these last reason is almost the main aspect why every modern cs player want to be in this team. Player will be the part of the legendary team of modern cs with all its priveleges. When cs player write SK teg before its nick it definetely adds pride to his self-esteem. Plus they will have e-site with all the fan clubs and private blogs of the players. Furthermore, players can have contracts with big IT and other companies to be an endorser, these also adds some positive feelings like "now your game is very serious )". What about Arbalet sponsoring, it provided less amount of offers and the organization is less developed in terms of e-site, brand image and company contracts. HOWEVER, Arbalet is person who first believed in Ukrainian guys and helped them in bringing this unbelievable team to the top of cs scene. He made many investments in it by buying equipment and devices, by renting the appartments for them and paying players the salary. It's interesting to note that he made all these expneses for no type of benefit or profit, he just wanted to help that talented guys from CIS and to upbring the level of cs in the region. Honestly speaking Arbalet just love this team and he spend big part of heart for them. (In terms of realtionship, not in terms of money, he has infinitive amount of money on his bank account ))) ). So summing up all the offers for NAvi, for me it obviously to say that " Even if SK have a lot of offers for Na'Vi and it looks like it is a jump on a very high professional level of cs, Na'vi should just ignore all this speculations and stay simple Ukrainian wonder with original wondering clan Teg "NA'VI" nad millions of fans. Because thousands of people like they way you are now and any change into another big commercial project would it be complexity, fnatic, SK, mtw, fx or whatever this will change dramatically, you will lose your distinction, trust me. only thing you need to realize is, that when you play for a big organization like SK, fnatic, EG, mouz, etc... you will have to do a ton of sponsor promotion and traveling, and a lot more responsibilities come that might not be ideal for a practice schedule. Na`Vi right now have salary, a lan setup to play at in their apartment, an amazing LAN center extremely close, and they can do all the traveling they want to tournaments. So they have the combo package of the money and perks of being a pro-gamer with less of the responsibilities, leaving much more time for uninterrupted practice.

Dude i've watched the scene for quite some time... tell me just one big tournament that they won... they placed second a lot of times and that's when the're on a good shape... NO first places at IEM EF or WF, no WCG,ESWC,KODE5... the tournaments that matters...i'm not saying the're bad, i'm saying Na`Vi's better. haha this doesn't really make sense. a german teams wants to sign 2 swedish players or 2 polish players?? a) why would people from fx or sk want to leave to a worse team (after cyx's tragic death mouz lost probably their best player) b) why would navi want to go to sk as i think arbalet isn't going to stop his support after their victories and c) not a single one of these teams have many players who speak english fluently (they can speak but not with total ease) so it's even more unlikely that anything like this would happen

You have to think about it though. They would have to use english as their language, and not everyone of them has a fluent english like lurppis learned in USA. Communication and teamplay would be highly affected, and in the end I don't even think they'd compete with fnatic because aim is not all that matters.
