fnatic in early WEM exit after EG loss

Evil Geniuses has sent home fnatic after a battle on de_dust2, needing three overtimes to settle the winner.

In the most intense match of the tournament so far, American team Evil Geniuses eliminated Swedish team fnatic from the tournament. The match started with fnatic on the Terrorists side and it was the Swedish leading by half-time, but not by much, as EG had managed to take 6 rounds off the Swedes. In second half, with EG on the Terrorists side, it was fnatic on started out the better and at times looked like they would seal a victory. But EG made their way back, putting the score-line even and the match would need overtime to settle the winner.

Needing three overtimes, the teams kept making those small comebacks, but in the end, it was EG who in won the last overtime; 1-2 as CT and 3-0 as Terrorists.

This is the second time in a row fnatic fall against the Americans, last time was at MSI BEAT IT finals in Beijing. Evil Geniuses will continue to play the lower-bracket at WEM, while fnatic is the second team to be eliminated from the tournament, finishing 7-8th with just $4,000.

It has been a long time since fnatic went out this early at a tournament, last time was at DreamHack Summer 2010, going out to H2k Gaming in the quarter-finals.

Do you know that Fnatic players have same HPs has the other players? A fnatic player walking in an angle watching other side is as easy to kill as a random player ....... or maybe i don't understand cs and when you win lots of tournaments you get more HP ....... Oh and yes EG won over F2F and? you know i didn't try to kill myself after that or went outside beating people inn the street cause it was sooooo hard for me to continu my life. This HP joke is so lame frenchy guy. Even tho the hp is the same, pro players won't go easy into your aim. You need more than just knowing how to press the fire button.There are a lot of skills involved. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't kill one guy if you were holding a b-site with the awp against fnatic. You don't have skill enough even to avoid their fbs. Your comment proved that. I guess you never played against pro players.

actually if you see other teams are playing a lot better these days...and I see a slump in Gux's form... I see a big improvement especially in Fx..after their slump earlier...they are really srong these days and Pasha is turning out to be a very good player.. EG has posed troubles for fnatic time and again in recent times...so it's no luck that they defeated them... In fact I love when fr0d owns any Euro teams..only because euros dissed him so much when he came back thinking they are far superior :)

He was pretty insane with SK..I haven't seen the same form afterwards...

they arnt out of form these months... they were very good on dsrack and kgc but they are really bad online... and as we saw today the enemy knows what they are up to... they didnt know what EG was doing especially when frod peaked lower from short, that was strange :D

yeah they really had no clue about what EG were up to. no early rotations and stuff... usually fnatic are much better at this, they always know which bombsite to defend more than the other or how the enemy is gonna react after having a guy killed or whatever.

frod was just the better awper and nothing had a phenomenal game and EG players stepped up when they had to win. fnatic played very methodically and organized but just couldnt hit shots and get the 4k's and stuff that we see in all the frag vids. GG go EG!

what r u talking ? lol but to be honest i hvnt seen the old gux in last 4-5 tournaments. He really looks in bad shape. Its time for fnatic to make some changes. DSN has been inconsistent. in the last KGC toruney he was at his best.But now he looked completely out of sorts.I cant say the same for GUX , maybe he has important kills but still even he is a bit out of touch. SK are lucky to have got MODDII in for GUX. I think ma mixture of fnatic and LIONS wld be a good deal.

When Gux rejoined fnatic this year, they won 2 events in a row and I see people hailing them as unstoppable, Gux is back = Na`Vi's reign is over, best team in the world. and here, I see the same people criticizing, kicking them down when they are obviously not in the best shape right now. It's only 1 event, give them a break. They'll bounce back for sure.
