The field for Kiev is determined

The field for the IEM5 European Championship Finals was settled Wednesday night with the last relegation matches finalized.

Six teams had beforehand been determined, as all groups winners of the European Championship advanced directly to the finals in Kiev. Another six were to be found via the relegation stage, which was concluded Wednesday night.

mousesports had already secured a spot at the finals, defeating Soltec in their relegation match last night. Today, it was time to find the final five teams, which started out with MYM defeating Power Gaming in a 2-1 series.

Next result to tick it was Full-Gaming defeating forZe 2-0, which according to the betting tendency was a big upset. The Frenchmen from Electronic Sahara could with a confident 2-0 win over RAGE, also booked a spot at the finals.

Alternate should be the second to last team to qualify, following a win against .no with a 2-0 score line. The final team to make it to Kiev, should surprisingly be the Danes from Copenhagen Wolves, defeating the Russian team Iron Will 2-1 in maps, also being one of the greater upsets of the day.

No information has been released by the ESL regarding the date of the group draw, which will put six teams into both groups. The IEM5 European Championship Finals will take place from January 20-23 at the Kiev CyberSport Arena.

A total prize purse of $50,000 will be handed out and HLTV.org will be on site to bring you all of the action from the event.
