Gux set to join Lions - Report

According to catch-gamer.no, Rasmus "Gux" Ståhl is poised to join Lions.

The Swedish star has been without a team since leaving fnatic earlier this week, having been left out of SK Gaming's plans for a new team as Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund and Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg successfully switched sides.

Ståhl has been strongly linked with a move to Lions, after Niklas "niko" Johansson claimed on Wednesday "it would be fun" to play alongside him again.

The former EYEballers member will fill the boots of Richard "Xizt" Landström, who left Lions for fnatic.

Gux: new lion?

There has so far been no comment from Lions on this matter. Should Ståhl's move go ahead, his debut for the team will be at the IEM5 European Championship Finals, which will take place from January 20-23 at the Kiev CyberSport Arena.

Ståhl's arrival will leave Lions with:

It's semi-pro because it's not fully sponsored or sponsored at all. Playing professionally means you're being paid (all expenses paid e.g travel/lodging+salary) to do it. Examples of pro players: n0thing, GTR,solo. Examples of semi-pro players: Fury (when he was with Begrip). Semi-pro players may just get equipment or travel paid for them. Examples of amateur players : neo ( when he was paying out of his own pocket to go to lans). Moddii isn't exactly the best choice for organizations because he's unpredictable and has a caustic attitude. Organizations don't want to risk their money for such persons.

how do u know so much mr. knowitall. have you seen moddii yelling to hes teamm8s? do you guys talk? do you know him? seriously stop acting like an expert. moddii is outsided because of hes swedish accent. not because of hes attitude. hes from Skåne in sweden and that state is hated by many swedes and is considered to be a land of denmark also but it belongs to swe and what wrost? hes from malmö, the capital of Skåne which is the most hated city in hole sweden without a doubt. sure he used to be immature b4 but all that stopped when he joined SK and you cant deny the fact how good(contributed), he did and it worked this far with no problems. yet they treated him like shit. I remember the time when SK lost some swedish event with Gux leaving hes teamm8s all upset and runing away like the piece of shit he is without saying a word, blaming hes team. SK chosed to drop moddii and pick up some old m8s which is supid, a waste. and its not like cArn and dsn ask robban, or walle how moddii acts right after f0rest and gtr backstabbed them. lions chosed Gux cause they know him already. im sick of people saying moddii has a bad attitude blablabla. swedens best aimer at this moment is a free agent and the top teams better act quick and pick him up or it would be to late. I would love to see moddii in mtw(-minet).

I know you talk about several reasons, but do you honestly mean that, the fact he comes from Skåne and Malmø, is a real reason ? I'm not denying he's good and I'm not saying he is immature, which come to think of it, neither of us would know unless we were on the team, would we? I just noticed that when Moddii plays, he's not a team player. Sometimes he tends to Rambo it out instead of playing as a team and I highly doubt prejudice is a reason for this. It's just easier to blame it on prejudice and use it as an excuse and please don't tell me you know this, firsthand, unless you've been on the team. Logically, they would keep Moddii because he's an amazing player but for some reason they didn't and no team has picked him up yet. Would it be that it's prejudice or that his reputation as a whiner precedes him/he's not a team player? Ocam's Razor. Leave it up to you.

If Moddii's reputation as whiner precedes him and people that don't know him personally know about it (Carn) then I don't see how he'll be able to join a top Swedish team. yes you can say moddii is selfish and doesn't look as if he takes much things serious however he plays such a crucial role in both MYM/SK that if MYM didn't have him they would have had ZERO success. He is a lone wolf, he is one of the best players in the world in a 1vX situation and crazy aimer. Yes it also looks as if he always leaves his teams but everyone does that in CS unlesss you play for fnatic/SK/FX/Mouz etc...if your playing for a team that doesnt have financial support your always viable to leave, put MODDII in fnatic or a club with money and he wont leave believe me.

Well they didn´t too that bad. SK has been doing bad since Tentpole left. moddii has been fragging like crazy and have been the best player in SK. Ofcourse i can´ t know about the atmosphere but it can´t be the reason why they lost. Imo the reason why SK has been failing was because of walle&allen.

y. moddii cant be worst then ceh9 when it comes to behavior right? He remains in the team cause Zeus is enjoying leading fantastic four(top aimers), no matter what. swedish team should learn of NaVi and for a second I thought SK was getting there but they chosed to keep the shadow of the light instead. =/ allen is good but moddii is better. lets all take quiet half second to honor the end of the Swedish dominance ... and we are live!

Gux ,forest and Get_right wanted Robban and Allen to play in fnatic instead of Carn and Dsn but Dsn and Carn does not wanted to leave fnatic so Gux , get_right and forest left fnatic and unfortunately Gux was not given a chance to play for SK due to his earlier issue (fee issue) so that is why he was homeless uptill he joined Lions. He has been playing better lately but if you don´t believe me check the stats. He is 4th best player in their team according to statistics. If moddii would join up, he would be their second best player after Gux assuming ofcourse that Gux is the 5th. In terms of k/d ratio.

Stats don't tell the whole story. Fyrtte is a vital part of the team, along with niko and threat. All the hltv.org 'experts' who think MODDII should replace any of the current LIONS player should create your own CS line-up with MODDII because you guys obviously know about the team more than threat, niko, FYR773, and kHRYSTAL. Most people are blinded by AIM AIM AIM and more AIM and more K/D ratios. Who cares if you're the best aimer in the world if you can't fit into the team. Aim doesn't give you team chemistry.

niko, khrystal and fyrte are all good friends. But in this line of CS team chemistry is not going to enough for them to finish off Na´vi. They are going to miss the frag power.

What's the point of having so much frag power if they can't work as a team? Well yeah, they might beat the likes of SK or Na`vi the first time because they can be unpredictable, but that surprise factor and massive frag power aren't going to do them any favor in the long run. Look at MYM.sweden. They had so much frag power and they won Dreamhack Winter and got 2nd place in IEM Dubai. Then what? They started having problems when more teams study their game. They can fix this if their chemistry was good but it's not. Then what? They disbanded. If you think Na`vi`10 and mTw`08 only had frag power aka aim, you're sorely mistaken. It's easier to climb at the top than to stay there. You need chemistry to overcome bad moments. So team player > aimstar. Besides, LIONS are not lacking frag power at the moment. kHRYSTAL, FYR773, niko and Gux are monsters.

How would you know if they can´t work as a team? moddii has not played for the Lions lineup before. MYM basicly fall apart after moddii was kicked from the team. ( Yes i know, he was whining at the time ). They brought in fyrtte instead of moddii and they lost all their matches against top teams. I´ve seen demos and asked around nobody said anything about moddii whining nor about the team chemistry when he was with SK. My point is that he is a lot more mature now.

My point is, if LIONS as a team think are comfortable with their current line up, leave them be. They know what's best for themselves. They aren't idiots.
