We continue our journey through the first years of competitive gaming, and after a quick stop in the United States, we return to the old continent.

Our fifth video of the "Frags from the Past" collection zooms in on one of the most famous 1.5 demos, starring intensity's hot-shot Vincent "latOr" Wallet against Austrian team monsters. Wallet, who also represented GoodGame and played for France on several occasions, picked up an astonishing 32-6 score in just 12 rounds.

In this frag higlight from 2003, he takes down four players from monsters, who later became one of the strongest teams in Austria, showing incredible M4A1 control. And as the song used in this video states, these frag highlights are the best memories CS can provide.

I remember seeing this. Feels older than 2003, I believe monsters had a mixed team in this match and lator just destroyed them.

latOr was a way better than anyone else in the french scene at that time. He was really dominating much more than nowadays sixer and majer do... it is always difficult to compare the skills from 2 different generations of players but I would stick to my choice : latOr. I just have one advise: look at the demos. They are pretty hard to find by the way :)

latOr had a frag movie come out when he was still playing and there was some insane frags so alot of people where calling him the best french player around. A lot of his hype came from that movie.

he had a movie of just him or was it like a topplayers one with clips of him along with others? do you remember the name of it or anything if it was his own movie? would quite like to see it, never seen one released when he played :p

It was just latOr, I guess a fan movie. Cant remember the name but I remember his aim was like a bot. 1 Bullet headshots throughout the movie and it helped him get a lot of attention. Was a pretty crazy aimer.

First off Dim2k, MaYeRs, YoRLiN, OliGan were just as good if not better....latOr was very good back in 2002-03 he was a top 10 player in the world but never the best French player.

Im not French so I only saw international French teams but all over geekboys/sogamed there was so much hype around latOr being the best French player.

How they don't see his silencer? m4a1 1.5 version have shorter silencer or wall from this old map was longer or maybe oldschool thinking was worse? :D btw, nice video :)

In 1.5 you couldn't see the silencer through corners and what not like you can in 1.6, it was very popular back then to hide in spots like that which are impossible to do nowadays, just like the SpawN spot at the entrance to B bombsite.

nice, ps:try to find some stuff from vulcano from team 3d, he had such a sick aim... pretty unusual for that time his gaming style looked much more like the nowadays players he's a forgoten player that deserves a tribute. he had stuff on y2be but some1 arraised the videos :S

Allez latOr! classic clip this same clip is on Frag or Die which almsot all of these old video clips are taken from, latOr was a beast when he played for GoodGame with Dim2k, MaYeRs, YoRLiN, etc they placed very well at CPL Summer 2003 and were a top 5 team back then, great player.
