Power Gaming add contE & lurppis

Power Gaming have announced they have acquired Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen and Juuso "contE" Sajakoski.

HLTV.org had earlier this week reported how Kimmo "BASiC" Fagerholm was excluded from Power Gaming's ongoing 2011 revamp.

Shortly after the news broke, Power Gaming announced that Niko "naSu" Kovanen, who had been a member since joining from CrackClan in 2009, had opted for retirement.

Speculations arose immediately, pointing out Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen as a potential replacement for one of the two departing members.

The rumor was strengthened by the fact that he is Finland-bound in two weeks' time as he is returning from his ended spell overseas with Evil Geniuses.

Today, Power Gaming announced that Kovanen will indeed join up with their new roster. He will in addition be followed by Juuso "contE" Sajakoski, who's recently finished military service.

"I didn't originally plan on playing CS anymore post-EG but after talking to the guys I decided to team up with them once again, this time under Power Gaming. I believe we will have a lot of fun competing together this year! We will obviously still do our best to practice hard and do well at tournaments, as Finland is definitely due some top placings again in CS 1.6", Kovanen told the team's website.

These changes leave Power Gaming with:

Tino "tihOp" Puumala
Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen

True, it is a nice lineup but I think the problem with the finnish guys is that they have a bit too much fun while practicing/playing.

OMG OMG:O this is the best team for finland! Hope they will be back in the front!! this is the old team. Better will be -tihop-natu+jigetus+RUUIT!!!miss those times when in Europe was a great battle. Each country had a good team like: Sweden-SK , Norway-eoLithic, Denmark-NoA (with hpx"the great"), Finland-69N-28E,Poland-PGS,SUA-3D,France-aAa[with those hs with scout by Kabal], even Romania had TeG when they reached top4 at WCG, or Russia with PRO100

no tihOp is a great awper but jigetus is just funny looking, and plays worse than tihOp and natu can rise to the ocassion, well ofc ruuit is a good player, won't argue with that. :)

Great news for PG although like I have said numerous times the only way any finnish team will return to glory will be if plastE, contE, ruuit, naSu and lurrpis/jigetus form a team, this lineup wont amount to much.

ruuit was by far the best player in Finland and they still went no where with him in the lineup. They can change their clan name as often as they want. Whether it would be wings, crack clan, roccat, power gaming, or kick/re-add conte/tihop/nasu, etc, but in the end, nothing will change. They are destined for failure in cs.

Dude i follow cs scene since 2002, natu was good in 4k, he also has a moments in logitech, but since 2007 he's playing like shit. Now cs is more agressive, he just used to play with roundtime 3 i think.

good luck guys. many are saying they should drop natu but i dont think its needed , he is a great player. ofc i'd liked to see jigetus there also but i think they know what they doing :) i just hope they are motivated to prac enough so they could really challenge some of the best out there. one thing i can ensure is that their game is going to be creative and fun to watch , lurppis+conte+natu = some epic strats and gameplay

for me i really really wanted to see tico, melvin, alpha,coali , Dooberi, diGitaL, kuviCk, Guardian and bloodR back in the business :) they were the shit at 2004-2005 but veeeeeeeery x999999999999999999999 unlikely...also i wanted ruuit to be back but thats very unlikely too..nasu did right to become inactive cuz he wasnt that motivated anymoreee..I think with the current situation at the finnish cs scene this is the best lineup they could make...And no + jigetus + basic etc...they need strong competition inside the country too..Its good to have "rivalry" with swedes,danes,norwegians etc but you need a "rivalry" in your country to become better and the competition to have a meaning :):)...my opinion always :P

yeah, so I hope lurpiss will take up calling, because contE was my favourite player to watch before he started calling. as for any player, calling took the edge off of his game (doesn't mean he wasn't as good as before ofcourse, it's just that constantly being busy trying to read the opponents game and trying to make sure your guys are in the right spot hurts your own game)

Haha back in days when tico was still playing, I got alot of FAKE NICKARN whine due to my nick name which hasn't nothing to do with tico :D But anyways tico was awesome player :D But unfortynately hes retired from cs for life and he playes netpoker professionally.

Is jigetus better than anyone there? Cause I don't think so. (and I'm not being sarcastic, it's just that, as a finnish guy, I bet you know more than I do) Jigetus is good, but I still thing that basic is a little bit better...
