compLexity partner with Team TD

compLexity have announced a partnership with Counter-Strike: Source organisation TargeTDown.

The deal will see the coL players wearing TargeTDown's shirt at several CSS tournaments throughout the year.

In exchange, the former FireGamers team will receive financial support to keep the coL house in São Paulo up and running.

Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, Lincoln "fnx" Lau and Bruno "bit" Lima have all played CSS alongside Caio "zqk" Fonseca in the past, winning every tournament they attended.

With a six-man roster, TargeTDown will swap one player after every map, with the exception of Fonseca, the team's captain.

compLexity are currently preparing for the IEM5 World Championship, which will take place in Hannover from 1-5 March.

TargeTDown have the following roster:

Brazil Caio "zqk" Fonseca
Brazil Bruno "bruno" Ono
Brazil Renato "nak" Nakano
Brazil Lincoln "fnx" Lau
Brazil Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
Brazil Bruno "bit" Fukuda

Seems a bit of a strange move to make.. Teams need to be committed 100% to either CS:S or 1.6. The same happened with the old coL (EG) team during the CGS when they started playing both games and not fully concentrating on either, they got pretty bad at both :P

I don't think they will play that much source. They can win tournaments of source without even practice -> easy game. between tournaments they don't even touch CS, they just play before important tournaments. maybe they can play source in that time

what doesn't make sense is that if the game is SO EASY, how come all teams can't win? It's called competition and no matter how easy or hard the game is it's still opponents who play the exact same game, just as EASY for them. Example: Running 100meters is VERY EASY, still only one man/woman can win each race. I'm not saying that source is hard or easy, just stating the fact that it is just as hard or easy for everyone JUST LIKE IN 1.6!!!! Regards!

Just fyi I've played source before and even though getting headshots are easy cause of the sluggish models, the game isn't much of a walk in the park. For one the flashes throw you way off guard, it confuses the hell out of a 1.6 player. 2nd of all the maps are all different, you can't wallbang or throw nades the same either. So pubs might be easy but wars are pretty annoying to get used to, and without getting used to the nades or way of playing aim doesn't help much.

Fallen, bit and fenix have been playing CSS for a long time, and so has VIOL from MiBR and PRD/Spacca from CNB, I remember people saying that viol had to focus 100% on 1.6 to get better and prove himself at WCG, and he was the best mibr player while having more hours in source than in 1.6.

I know I said both are correct, but in reality, internationally spelling organisation with "Z" wouldn't that much of correct way to spell, that's why it is american english.

wise descion in my opinion, css is nothing compared to 1.6 skillwise, they can win all the css tournaments in brazil while finishing 1-4 in all 1.6 tournaments is brazil = )

Calm down people, they always done this, but now it's official, they just play for fun, to get easy money. I think they will not stop training 1.6, to play Source.

No way... they should focus on CS 1.6 cause now they won't have enough time for any game :o Tell what you want, but these games are completly diffrent :/ It's not CS 1.6 and Condition Zero

If coL pay full attention to 1.6, they can be a top5 team. They've been in the past and they really have the potential to go there again with this lineup. FalleN could bring a whole team to the top.

Dang, it looks like you guys support a bunch of source playing noobs. Always nice to see big teams give source a shot because they know its fun and they dont have an unreasonable or irrational bias against it based on little to no playing experience.

That's bad for them, if you consider their 1.6 performance. Anyway, I'm looking forward to see them in action. GL!

Clearly they give more importance to money than to respect and recognition of CS community...this "partnership" is the proof....
