Brazil to miss ESWC 2011?

Brazil will allegedly not send any representatives to this year's ESWC World Finals.

The claim was made by Anderson "Aneurex" dos Santos, who is a long-term event organiser in Brazil and has had the country's license in many tournaments for years.

"Everything indicates that in 2011 we will not have in Brazil KODE5 and ESWC. #fail," he wrote on his Twitter page.

Dos Santos went on to say that, despite this, Brazil may still organise qualifiers for DreamHack and GameGune.

FireGamers, who are now representing compLexity's colours, attended the 2010 ESWC event in Paris, finishing in 5th-8th place to pick up $1,600.

In the event of Brazil not staging a qualifier for the ESWC, the country will only be represented at the finals should a team be invited, but it will have to cover all the expenses.

it could be, it's not the same system as WCG I mean if sweden happened not to host qualifiers they would definatly send an invite to fnatic/SK, I guess they'll do the same for coL
