PwR out after two ties and a loss

Power Gaming have been eliminated in the running at ASUS Winter 2011, following two ties and a loss in the group-stage.

Finnish team Power Gaming will watch the remains of ASUS Winter from a spectating point-of-view, as the team got eliminated in the group-stage. With ties against the Russian squads Destiny and zNation, Power Gaming were desperate for a win in the last group-stage match against Ultimo from Belarus.

The Finns were down 11-4 at half-time on de_nuke, after finishing their Terrorists side. On the CT side the team tried to pull off the comeback, but came short when Ultimo claimed the victory at 16-13 and eliminated Power Gaming from the tournament.

natu & co. face early ASUS exit

First half of the group-stage is now over, where likes of Moscow Five, KerchNET, Just, Alternate, USSR, aimteam, zNation and Ultimo have all made it through to the next group-stage.

Out with tihop, conte should reamain in the team! A perfect player taking tihops place would be SPIKEONE! He would make that team dominate. If now conte would leave as well, they should put in ruiit...

with this lineup they cant even pass the group stage when they are placed in a group with rather unknown teams, so by changeing one player they would dominate? not really.

EGC havent lost a single pracc yet, not against any finnish or foreign team. For example SK-gaming got 5 rounds against them.

No offence seriously, but natu and maybe tihOp have to go. I'm sure you will be reading this natu, but it's time for you to go. Now when lurppis is the new ingame leader, you aren't a good asset for the team. You have the experience of course etc. But teams doesn't need a lot of experienced guys, but hungry players, who have motivation to play and are great aimers ingame. You always build a team with oldschool players, like contE, lurppis, natu, naSu, ruuit, plastE, tihOp and it worked earlier, because they were more motivated to play and they were better back then. But you need fresh blood now. I don't know the relationships you guys have with BASiC, jigetus and Freon, but these guys are pretty much the best in Finland atm. You have lurppis, he's really experienced, you have plastE who is still owning, on those small sites and plays pretty good. Conte the oldschool player, always played amazingly, he just need's more time to play. The problem with tihOp is that, BASiC is much better atm than tihOp with the awp. The same goes for Freon and jigetus who are better than natu. I'm sure people won't agree with me, but that's what I see. You need fresh players in the team, you won't be able to beat mTw, fnatic or Na`Vi with only experienced players. This is my opinion, no offence guys. P.S. Forgot to add, that I really don't care how you guys perform. Are you the 1st or the last team in any event. You just won't be able to make it, to the top.

I'd love that one too, but in my experience if an IGL doesn't have to do the lead he can step up his game in a huge way. so I'd like to see freon frag it up too :P

Yes, in theory. But the thing is, usually the players which play in the IGL role, are not that good fragging as a guy which his role is to kill everybody, you know what I mean? It would be the same thing as making a team which consists in: f0rest, get_right, carn, threat and as igl niko, for example. Talking about threat, that's basically what happened to fnatic - when threat joined there. He got kicked, because he couldn't frag as gux used to do. But everyone gotta agree that threat is doing a great job as lions igl. niko is also a good igl, I know. But imo, he plays way better as awp/back up player. In short, theres no sense in having two igl in the same team.

have to agree on the 3 players you mentioned, they would make a great asset for pwr. also agree on contE just needing abit of time, he just got back from a huge CS break, but was my fav finnish players together with ruiit. the guys saying contE should be kicked have to wait a few months before shouting that stuff :P

top2 teams in Finland have 2 good IGL's, lurppis and Freon, when Freon joins PG, EGC wont have a good igl (or natu has to join but i dont think so) and then there will be only 1 good team unless there is some unknown igl talent thats gonna stand up

Forgotten? How can someone forget something that isn't even relevant when talking about top 2 teams in Finland? There are no finnish teams besides PG and EGC, munkka is mainly some kids trying to play even though they know they are shit. They even lost some mix team at some smaller finnish lan if I'm correct? I seriously think they should just quit cs and start focusing on sims.

Finnish army responsibility have pretty much destroyed finnish top cs teams. spending 6/12 months at army simple wipe out cs skills. And loosing ruuit, best finnish cs player of all times, have also huge effect on finnish cs success. ruuit was best long range shooter at cs when he played (he used 1024x768 and most outstanding players used and use 640x480). Without him, im pretty sure that finnish cant come back top 10. ruuit pretty much himself won a lot of matches for power/69/and so on.

Well, eventhough it's their first event, it's a huge disappointment. For a team to have any hope of getting success internationally, they should have the skill to bring down these teams even while making mistakes. PwR won only 1 pistol out of 6, and I have to say that especially their ct side on inferno was disappointing. Finnish teams have always played inferno ct very passive, like they did now, and it's always been pretty much their worst side. I don't understand why they don't attempt to get picks as ct by playing aggressive like pretty much any good team nowadays does at least occasionally. Seems to me that everytime PwR even tries to push it's always the same 4 man rush to alternate middle with flashes, and they didn't even do that one in this match.

Only good player in PwR today was plastE... He was killing like a maniac and take many rounds by himself. I think PwR need to cut tihop fast and take better awper in.

I miss when the fins were damn good. I used to love watching contE play especially. I don't think he needs to be removed. I think -natu -tihop, both of these players have been with power under one tag or another and always failed to impress with each other. I'm not saying natu and tihop aren't good. I'm more saying that these players aren't very good with each other. Best lineup fins had imo was conte ruuit plaste lurppis nasu. However, I'd like to see this team stay together and get better gradually. GL pwr :P I also don't want to put blame on one player like some of you have, with results like these in the group from a team of players who have all been at the top at least 1 time i would say that the team in general played poorly.

finnish scene is going worse every year it seems. i mean even losing against team like ultimo is just a total blowout , especially for a guys like these with their achievements. just wish that guys like [jigetus basic plaste lurppis freon] could gather up and make a team , i guess thats the only way fins can keep it up on top since these are the best players out here atm.
