fnatic holding tightly onto Delpan
It seems as though Marcus "Delpan" Larsson is far from being released from his contract with the fnatic organization.
Speculations about a forthcoming change in SK Gaming surfaced the same day the German-based organization released Dennis "dennis" Edman, only to call in a temporary substitute.
On May 28, Marcus "Delpan" Larsson entered the limelight, with a report revealing he had been locked in talks with SK Gaming about a possible move from fnatic.
Alexander "TheSlaSH" Müller, SK Gaming's managing director, confirmed through his twitter account the following day that they had discussed possible details for a contract with Larsson.
"Just recently we discussed possible details for a contract with Delpan and found a solution, but if and when remains to be seen!"
The when part came much sooner than what was expected, as they announced they had signed him over on the next day, which meant Larsson was once again donning the SK jersey.
However, fnatic quickly counter-attacked the announcement, taking shots at Müller and SK Gaming as well as proclaiming that they had never been approached about a deal.

Delpan - still contracted to fnatic
As it turns out, Larsson is indeed not released from his contract with fnatic, and Müller told HLTV.org that they were willing to purchase him out of his contract with them.
In contracts between players and organizations, there is usually a clause that handles what will happen in the event of the contract being breached by either party.
Should, for instance, a player breach a contract, there will be a penalty fine that has to be paid to the organization. This is usually what organizations use as a base when it comes to negotiating.
Contacted by HLTV.org, Müller confirmed that SK Gaming have offered fnatic to buy Larsson out of his contract, but their offer is nowhere close to meet their demands.
"We offered fnatic the buy out but it seems our offer does not meet their demands. Marcus already played for SK but still we want a solution for all parties involved. Though I have to say that positions are quite far apart from each other. We might end up with fnatic having to accept Marcus leaving and keeping a penalty just as we had to do in 2010 when Rasmus [Gux] left. It is not the perfect scenario, but it is a solution after all."
As Müller stated, it seems as though SK Gaming and fnatic have their differences - which is not the first time - about transfering a player from one side to the other.
Meanwhile, fnatic made a statement on how they have "attempted to negotiate a suitable fee and reach a mutually agreeable position".
In addition, they have highlighted the demand fnatic have asked for a transfer of Larsson, without disclosing the actual figure, but justified it with the following points:
- 8 months left on the existing contract
- Investment already made in the team and player concerned by FnaticMSI
- Value of the player to our team as one of best AWPers in CS at present
- Potential loss of winnings
- Disruption of existing squad
- Value to other (SK-Gaming) team
Interestingly, the statement continued by saying communication and negotiations between the two sides have broken down, and it appears they will leave it at that.
Furthermore, fnatic are requesting the Swedish WCG organization and DreamHack to prohibit SK Gaming from using any player contracted to fnatic during the two upcoming tournaments.
"We would highly recommend that the Swedish World Cyber Games' organization and DreamHack help us ensure that no FnaticMSI contracted player will be fielded for SK Gaming during the coming DreamHack Summer."
How SK Gaming will respond to fnatic's stance remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain: fnatic are not releasing their grip on Larsson for now.
