paistit replace EG at e-Stars Seoul

The e-Stars Seoul organizing committee has announced that Evil Geniuses will not be attending the 2011 edition of the South Korean event and their replacement is found in the Finnish team paistit.

When the voting polls for e-Stars Seoul 2011 closed, Evil Geniuses finished on the very top of the Americas list of teams. Together with UMX.us they would travel to Seoul as the two representatives for Americas.

The e-Stars Seoul organizing committee has today issued a press release, which states that Evil Geniuses will not make it to Seoul, with internal affairs given as the reason. We can only assume that it is the recent lineup change that has led to EG not travelling to Seoul.

By the same token, the committee contacted other American teams, but none of them were able to attend. A team from the European list was then selected, the team matching the criteria following their rank on the poll and the final evaluation period was Finnish team paistit.

With paistit replacing Evil Geniuses for e-Stars Seoul's MSI Beat IT Championship, the list of attending teams now looks as follows:

Poland Frag eXecutors Sweden fnatic China TyLoo Korea Spero Spera
Ukraine Natus Vincere Denmark mTw Taiwan UMX Korea SiZ
Sweden SK Gaming Spain x6tence United States UMX Korea Lunatic-Hai
Germany mousesports Finland paistit Korea project_kr Korea ONEPIECE

e-Stars Seoul 2011 will take place August 19-21 in Seoul's COEX D Hall, with €47,000 to be handed out in the tournament. HLTV.org will be on site in Seoul for the third year in a row, to bring your premium coverage from the 2011 edition of e-Stars Seoul.

Yes, that was some excellent awping by him, but their defensive setups were nothing less than impressive. And also maybe LIONS did some good job, not knowing that they can plant behind the boxes :D

I don't see a problem in delays. If you see match is supposed to start at 1pm, you prepare for 2:30pm and that's it. Add 2 hours to lanuchtime, It works for me in 90% of tournaments ;D

+1 I wouldn't be surprised if paistit reaches top3, since they're pretty good at de_mirage, and I wouldn't be surprised if FX gets knocked out to lower bracket because of tuscan!

What made you think that I don't know that? Since E-stars uses the double-bracket elimination system, so being better than other teams in a particular map is a real advantage! I know that they're good on other maps too, but I don't think that they can beat for ex, SK on de_nuke and de_inferno, Na'Vi on de_train etc

I really feel that [p] will do huge damage, especially on forge and mirage. + if plastE get his good shape were he can hold a small bp by himself, they would eat everyone they meet. They fast game really can surprize asian teams, and kill europeen teams I would say -x6 +anyone. :)

How do you know ? They've been changeing line-up alot l8ly, and you haven't seen them play v and good teams for months. And last time they did, they lost 1-2 to ESC Gaming who lost to sk in the semi. And it takes months months to get used to a line-up, finding out who's gonna handle the big green gun, and who get's IGL roll and so on. But I think all players from Mouz knows each other pretty well, they've been there before, and are returning, and also they've got other players from the country that they should know a little, so maybe that will help them out a little. But I dont see them do any damage at all at this tour. Sk, mTw, Fx, Na'Vi, Paistit and maybe fnatic > Mouz today :(

karrigan = awp gob b = igl roman = madfragger zonixx = madfragger ninja = madfragger easy, i think in 1-2 months they are better than paistit, fnatic and esc.

kARRIGAN is top 3-4 in Danmark with Trace, Zonic and ( Friis ) gob b has been insane atm, roman is always good, ninja, haven't seen him as a mad fragger before v good teams :S And I dont rly know Zonixx. If they stick with this team, I think they can beat fnatic and paistit but ESC is maybe to hard. Earlier this year ESC beat Mouz. 16-0 ( Mouz ) Esc 16-1 and 16-10 or something, and then ESC lost to SK. And ESC still has the same line-up, and they know all each other very well, they know each others moves and other important small detailes. ESC > Mouz the rest of the year, then maybe next year Mouz can do some damage.

mhh yeah about karrigan, roman and gob we doesn't need to talk, they are just great. ninja was is the last time the best at mouz, always fragleading and win some 1 on x situations ;) if you don't trust me watch some demos from the copenhagen games (readmore.de/index.php?cont=demo_overview..) and about zonixx i don't know, gob will make the best with him.they need just time and they will be back at top 5. trust me

The German cs scene is so wierd some way, I mean, there are alot of teams with good sponsors, but the German teams have not prove anything in international the past 2 years or more ? There are not many players from Germnay who can do damage to teams like, TCM, H4U and EG etc. But Mouz have been working theyre way forword since IEM5 earlier this year, I remember they got smashed, and then they played very well at Xperia if im not wrong, but then they made some changes now, so I hope they've been praccing alot, Mousesports is meant to be on top ! :)

yeah that's only because they didn't train that much.gob is now back and he wanted that mouz train a lot and take part on international tournaments. so i think with much training it's all possible

The skill overall in the team is on very high level so they can if they rly want to. I dont rly think it would be that smart for them to attent to this event, I mean there are all the best teams in the world, and Mouz have just changed line-up, so if they are gonna fail witch is very likely for new line-ups it might end up bad ;/

Sad they quitted. AdreN now playing with Storm (Dont think they are active, cuz he's studying in Japan ? ) And Beast and MihaoO playing for arLine. I dont think they'll team up in a active team again, maybe as a mix team to ASUS or something, they've got alot of players, AdreN, MihaoO, Mou, Anv1k, beast, Nurtas, Nickel and Turbo, we seen them often mix v good teams. Always funny to see them togheter, such a lovley team ;D

only reason I can think of that they didn't choose M5 is because they did not accept the invitation or roster changes are coming up

did you even read my post? otherwise you should try reading it again especially they part where I say "only reason I can THINK of". M5 is a much better team just because they play bad at one events doesn't mean paistit suddenly deserves the spot, obviously paistit had a heads up because of lurppis playing for EG in the past but M5 is a much better team.

Again shithole, you're missing my point !!! I also think that M5 is better than paistit, but probably paistit was higher in ranking of the e-Stars organization !

haha doesn't make sense, e-stars considers recent results and M5 performed well at IEM Europe, XPERIA, Dreamhack and ICSC whereas paistit only attended 2 lans where they didn't play that great besides getting owned by M5. M5 also had much more votes than PowerGaming in the e-stars voting. so that doesn't make sense either

Dude M5 decided to take a vaccaion for a few weeks after GameGun, that's why they didn't get invited. Here is a tip, next time you see a tour is about to start, and you realize that Na'Vi or Fx is missing, you first think '' Hmmmm how come they're not attending? Let's see if I can still find any news l8tly about them.'' M5 have been attending to ALOT of tours this year, with good results and bad results, but GameGun ? Was terrible, so maybe they decided, to take a break and come back more motivated.

they took a break and stopped practicing because there were no major events coming up for them after e-stars decided not to invite them and because of their disappointing performance at gamegune. if e-stars would have invited them before then they would have attended, e-stars is quite possible the biggest event of the year so it is strange that M5 isn't attending instead. get your facts straight mate.

My uneducated guess: 1. mTw 2. SK 3. Fnatic 4. Navi 5. FX Reasoning: mTw is long overdue for a win, they'll be motivated and have had plenty of time to antistrat the hell out of everyone else, while no-one has seen them play since Dreamhack. I don't think SK will win again, there's simply too much randomness in CS to win three in a row when the skill level is this close among the top 5. The pressure will also be on, and they'll be the most studied team at e-stars. Fnatic have been getting better at a steady rate. A rough extrapolation puts them third for this event. Navi at no. 4 is probably the most controversial prediction, but they seem to be going through a bit of a slump lately. Discord among the players may also rear its head if things don't go well early on (and with so many amazing teams, this could well be the case). Finally, Loord's injury and FX's apparent lack of motivation lead me to place them fifth.

I follow you in most things exept the Na'Vi thing. Last GameGune was the first event in years of which you can say that they played bad, regarding Na'Vi standards ofcourse. So now they will be extremely motivated to show the community that they can still be called the best team of the world. My prediction: 1)Na'Vi 2)SK/mTw 3)mTw/SK 4)fnatic 5)FX
