IGC apply for bank guarantee
According to a message on Twitter, India Gaming Carnival organizers have applied for a bank guarantee.
The move comes amid the public voicing their concern about the legitimacy of the event on various gaming-related forums. Many are doubting their ability to pay the announced prize purse.
Bank guarantees are not too common in the world of Counter-Strike. One of the first events that did it was shgOpen in 2007, followed by ESWC and the brand's new owners in 2010.
Hoping to fend of criticism, the India Gaming Carnival organizers now follow suit and have applied for a bank guarantee, according to their official Twitter account.

India Gaming Carnival has been announced to take place between April 6-8, with $40,000 put into Counter-Strike's prize fund. In total, the event boasts a stunning $300,000 prize pool.
