Video: fRoD vs DeadZone

This "Frags from the past" clip takes you all the way back to 2005 before Danny "fRoD" Montaner's rise to stardom, as he aces Canadian DeadZone.

Montaner gets his first kill with a HE grenade in the middle of de_cpl_strike, which de_mirage is based on. He then rotates to the B bombsite where the window gets smoked off, forcing him to peek the doorway instead.

That is exactly what Montaner does, as he hits an impressive mid-air AWP headshot through a wall followed up by two easier shots before finally completing his ace with yet another quick flick shot to push compLexity over DZ with a 4-0 win in overtime.

u re crazy , ofc fallen could outsnipe any awper in the world , but that doesnt mean he is better than fr0d ever was , fr0d made a new era of awp style, i will never forget the magic zoom sense .77 4/5 years ago that was a fashion in awpers all over the world, we cant compare a freshblood player with an oldschool , that not right , because oldschools dont has nothing to prove to anyone but freshbloods feel that need..

I dont think so, the game changed and evolved a lot since cogu and ksharp . now its a lot harder to hit a player than in 2006, cause of the movement, the tactics are improved... just watch a fragmovie from cogu, and one from fallen and you will understand me.

I fucking loved coL. Why did it have to end? Back in those day I didn't give a shit about European CS. I loved following CAL and watching the various rivalries in the US scene. U5, GamerCo, coL, 3D, EG(bloodshot etc) and the list goes on. Good times man good times.

Cogu/fallen i know markeloff is mega good, but fRoD had that 'all-star' awp skill level with old mousepads, without mega-new ss/razer mouses from another planet etc, ever considered that? Its like Ronaldo (the real one, #9 from Brazil) in football, he started 'private' soccer boots campaigns with his name (like you can see Messi and other playing with other boots from sponsors) etc, he did as good as Messi without mega new training technologies etc.

There was actually a point in time when i could have considered fRoD to be the best player in the world. The time when coL was dominating the US scene, and also winning ESWC. SOOOO many of coL's matches were insane considering fRoD would have a +20 rating, while the 2nd best player on the team would be like +1. He literally carried coL to so many victories, and he would dominate teams at the highest levels. If you also want to talk about awping style i would say fRoD had one of the best to watch to. He had / has the nicest flick shots ever imo. His flicks are so fast and accurate.

It's strike. de_cpl_strike was the original map. CEVO payed someone to make Mirage for their new league in 2006/7 or somewhere around then. Strike is a very old map. We stopped playing it because the CPL died so nobody was allowed to use it because it was their official map.
