VeryGames dominate ESC

The French CS:S giant VeryGames has scored a dominating 16-2 victory over the Polish ESC Gaming squad, putting them just one win away from topping group B as the final rounds of matches begin.

ESC Gaming's split into the upper site through ramp caught VeryGames off guard and allowed them to win the pistol round, but the French came back strong by winning their save round right after.

It looked as if the Poles would pull off a force buy on round three, but Cédric "RpK" Guipouy's two AK47 frags allowed VG to win their retake while Filip "NEO" Kubski missed a crucial shot on Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux.

One save round later, VeryGames completely shut down ESC's upper take, and the following round's split attack towards ramp. Next couple of rounds proved no different for ESC, as VG extended their lead to 8-1, largely uncontested since round two.

Kenny "kennyS" Schrub stepped up his game from the French ESWC qualifier, as he continued racking up kills with his AWP as VeryGames won the next two rounds, forcing ESC to save and effectively making it 11-1.

VeryGames showed top form in their ESC match

Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas' one-on-two heroics following a bomb plant in lower through a ramp-outside split attack gave ESC their second round of the half. The momentum was quickly stopped by Nathan "NBK" Schmitt's multi kill though, as VG easily won the next round.

Last round of the half saw VeryGames once again give up the upper bombsite, but then use their teamwork to their advantage to win the retake, and the half 13-2. Schmitt finished the half with a score of 21/5, leading all players.

Second half started similarly as the first one ended, with VeryGames rushing the upper bombsite and the combination of Schmitt and Dubourdeaux taking out the entire ESC squad.

VeryGames finished off their dominating victory just two rounds later, as ESC's force buy attempts proved unsuccessful despite Wojtas' threefrag AK47 round and the French side claimed their sixteenth round for a 16-2 win.

Well, that just proves that VG are better. They win the important rounds and 16-2 might not be what we will expect the game to be if we see these two teams playing eachother again. But atm VeryGames are just better than ESC we have to realize that :)

you can't set it up like that. VG won by a big margin and that's the end of story. The rest you are talking about is "if and if" situations.

I don't see a point here sir. Is it really a huge surprise that Source team trashes ESC in a source-like game? I think it was kinda obvious, because all 1.6 teams in GO sucks, except GTR, f0rest and Xizt who leads NiP. I can add that ESC didn't practiced 24/7 like VG, and they don't take this game seriously, yet they're 2nd in the group of ESWC. And no, I'm not a die hard 1.6 fanboy, so please don't comeback with such a reply.

What is it with you people!? You claim 1.6 players are better, but as soon as "saucers" beat your beloved 1.6 players, it's because the game is source-like? Either we suck 'cause we're from CS:S, or we're gods 'cause we got advantage. Get your mind straight!

The point isn't what the game is or is not, the point is the fact words change based on the match. It's either constant bragging or excuses, rather than saying "good game" or "nice try".

In these words it is a true too. ESC gaming just played one month in csgo and they beat 2 css teams... Nip played from early beta and they dominated every css team in few months. Fact is only one, the best teams and players played 1.6, no doubt, everyone knows that. Step by step they absorbing into css scene, it will never happen in other way, css teams will never step on high level in 1.6 thats why bad teams from 1.6 switched to css. I dont get why only VG is strong from css scene? Where are other teams... sad true, css scene seems like it was not interesting, while 1.6 scene was always very strong and aligned.

not same engine, not same maps no same tactics. CS:S is on the orange box engine, CSGO is on the L4D2 engine, I shouldnt even have to describe how different the maps are as a quick stroll around the maps in each game makes it obvious, and the tactics shit shouldnt need an elaboration either you just dont know what youre talking about l0l

No, in such ct sided map as nuke it isn`t as trashing to win just 2 rounds. More or less it was summary of mistakes in theyr individual play, as if they were on edge today then they would have won 2 more rounds as Ts and thereby would have chance to win more rounds above for that, for having money advantage thanks to those additional rounds. It just wasn`t theyr day.

Indeed, dota2 is on the source engine does it mean Source teams would beat DotA2 teams, nope. The engine is similar in terms of netcode and interp, but aside from that its pretty different (looks at movement between CS:S to CS:GO)

"Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas' one-on-two heroics following a bomb plant in lower through a ramp-outside split attack gave ESC their second round of the half." Well, that's a unique way of putting it. That round, along with the one strux1 won vs. NiP, was pretty sweet.

funny how everyone claims VG won because they are from source. What about NiP? yes... they got 2 source players but It's not like fifflaren and friberg carried NiP to victory vs VG. so yes, maybe VG got a small advantage but they thrashed ESC BIGTIME! Maybe ESC have a bad game, they lost 16-2 vs SK on train in 1.6, shit happens so what we can say is VG dominated ESC this game and we have to see if ESC just had a bad game or if they just are this bad at GO

I think when NiP beat VG recently friberg and fifflaren played well and were actually quite a contributing factor to the win. Hopefully the two will meet in this tournament, I think it will be the first relatively fair test of the two teams now that they've both had time to practice for a specific event, which I assume they both have. Although I do think NiP are still quite far ahead in terms of the training they've done, but that might well be because they are more dedicated, so if they do win (which seems likely at this stage) they certainly deserve it.

Ofc they did well, I said they didnt carry NiP wich means 3 others were shit because everyone played decently and saying this is their first test is also quite wrong, their first test was the first time they met.

You got it all wrong. We claim VG won 'cause they're better, while HLTV users claim that NiP wins 'cause they're from 1.6, not because they're better.

Exactly. 1.6 players win = they're better cause they're from 1.6 1.6 players lose = they're worse 'cause they're from 1.6 and saucers have advantage saucers win = they're better cause they have advantage saucers lose = they're worse cause they're from source. Regular HLTV user, in most cases. glad to see you've moved on.

hltv.org/?pageid=181&eventid=0&gameid=2 kindly watch these stats, f0rest Get right and xizt are on top of two source players it seems source team like vg looks pretty good as a team but as for individual skills cs1.6>cs:source talking about whether source team is on top of cs1.6 or viceversa, we should wait few more months and few more events to decide but at present nip looks better than vg and for me nip is more like a cs1.6 team rather than source as 3 players from 1.6 is dominating the rest 2 from source

I couldn't give a rats ass. I don't care what scene the best players come from, I care who the overall best team is, and that they're the best cuz they want it the most. I just posted that comment to display the mentality of HLTV users.

and obviously nip is the best team and u cant deny the fact 3 players from cs 1.6 r playing in there and performing better than rest 2 players from source and btw there r different users commenting here in hltv and if u take a closer look, there r different views from different users too and a suitable example is u :) i don know whom ur pointing at by calling HLTV users

Why says NiP is the best team? There haven't been a LAN yet connecting the best teams... DH Valencia they beat VG, fair. ESWC only 1 team pr. country is showing up, except Germany, but countries like Denmark & France got more than 1 good team to compete against NiP. We'll actually only see, who the officially best team is, at a big LAN event like copenhagen games or something like that.

yeah thats why i said we should wait for few more events to decide for the best team, it will be a hell different competition as everybody get into the game as the time passes by, i ve absolutely no idea about the source teams but i ve been following the cs 1.6 teams for some time now and theres more to look at in future as there will be fnatic and possibly na'vi joining the cs:go scene too. I m looking forward to see a great competition in future as it is not just going to be a fight betn the two team only but the fight betn the two community too as we can already see here in HLTV.org

cs 1.6 players good? hahaHAHHAAHHAAHHAHAHAAHAH as i have always said, cs:source had a lot of more talented players than cs 1.6 ever did, now in different game top 1.6 legends loose 2-16 to normal cs:source team :) cs:go is game that requires much more personal skill than 1.6 did, thats why most 1.6 players just sucks in cs:go
