New G2, NiP and c9 won nothing (c9 won some EPL matches but let be honest NA EPL worth shit except for top 3-4 teams relative to EU EPL).
So yes, those 3 teams are in top 16 but u can't be sure if they will win vs underdogs such as godsent epsylon spacesoldier Vega f3 vexed(no more) igame. Or be on par with qualified teams such as navi, fnatic, heroic (iem Katowice, okay).
It's not what I call t1.
T2 at most (and I believe that g2 can become top 2 world in 2017 with work, its not just trashtalk).
So yes I understand as former 2016 good competitor they were invited but like g2 they should go thru qualifier coz they are not leading the competitive 2017 t1 csgo team by far.
