the only problem is that fnatic's independent hold will counter out gambit's pushes. The tactics are there but its all about the entries for gambit, because every fnatic player is strong enough to get multi frags and then they can retake.

In last bo3 they played overpass gambita pick cache fnc and dust2 decider Cache was a mediocre map 4 gmb so fmc got it then overpass fnc were playing well on it but zeus outstrated them sk they won it izi and then d2 gambit wasnt really good on it ever so they lost But now its diffrent Gambit are gods on overpass and cobble They have nice train and cache and inferno too Only maps they cant play are mirage 100% they so shit there and nuke not so shit but still shit So i would say Gmb bans mirage Fnc bans cobble Gamb overpass pick Fnc nuke pick Gamb ban cache Fnc ban train Cache decider 2-1 4 gmb

They said they had practised it alot and were willing to play navi on it earlier in the group stage, they had prepared for mirage and cobble versus navi but it ended up on mirage. I'm not saying they would be a favourite on it at all but they might feel alot more comfortable on it now, the problem is though that they haven't played like any officials on it since they reunited.

True, and since some of fnatic's worst maps aren't some of Gambit's best it makes alot more sense to just ban cobble. I'd say that fnatic's worst maps are train, nuke and cobble so it makes more sense to ban out the one which is Gambit's best map especially since they barely have any officials on it. I'd say that fnatic would ban cobble and that Gambit would pick train and not nuke since fnatic looked pretty decent on it against astralis plus It's not one of the maps that Gambit are that comfortable on and they don't have much experience playing it, fnatic have been very poor on train were as Gambit looks to have made it one of their best maps. Gambit will most likely ban out inferno/mirage so fnatic pick will be either one of those who isn't banned and I'd say that it will most likely go to overpass as the third since both teams seem to be confident on it nowadays.

Going into this Gambit might look as the favourites since they've been so impressive in the group stage, but logically if you go by the history it's always been like this, they perform very well in group bo1's and when it comes down to the first playoff game they look like they can make huge impacts and yet they don't show up. It might be a mix of their star players not showing up as much when they're on the big stage under pressure or that they don't feel comfortable on that many maps so they struggle in bo3's. In contrast fnatic probably has the most experienced players playing on the big stage and I find it alot more likely for them to be comfortable and show up individually (which will be the main winning factor) and come in more clutch overall since they have a history of doing it were as Gambit always seem to struggle in playoffs whatever opponent they face. The winning factors for Gambit are adren and hobbit and if they show up things might be alot more different but I don't see that happening since it historically hasn't been something you can rely on in playoffs.

Just as I've been thinking about it... fnatic have no reliable map to pick, like really Gambit gonna ban Mirage and what have we got: Train - sure fnatic won it last time in a convincing fashion but Gambit stepped up lately and fnatic's results on this map have been terrible after that Cbble - just no Cache - Gambit learned how to play it Overpass - might be the second best map for fnatic but also great for Gambit and never forget that 16-3 Inferno - fnatic won in overtime after coming back from 8-14 with a forcebuy win... here is my prediction: Train is gonna be Gambit's map Inferno will be Fnatic's since they are one of the strongest team on inferno, even the new one. Yeah, JW was 4 sure the best fnatic player in that map. KRIMZ and olof (had some impactful rounds) had a decent game as well. Dennis was dragging fnatic down, always dying in the first 20 seconds of every gun round.

Gambit just winning the pistol rounds and convert the follow up rounds, that's the main difference. Of course, fnatic had capitalized on their 5 v 3 situation and the 4 v 3 plant situation, we might've had a different outcome. Fnatic still did well considering these factors. Give them a pistolround on the following maps and they'll win this, I'm quite confident in that, some of the players in gambit looked nervous, and the nerves might kick in even more if they start losing.

LOL, yeah I'm a fnatic fan, but if you read what I wrote about Fnatic - Navi, you'd know that if I think they didn't play well and have to step up, I'll write that. I'm also a huge VP fan, those are my 2 teams since they both formed. Also, did you see hobbit and mou sometimes? The look on their face, sometimes their sprays were way off. Hobbit did still manage to perform very well. Moue picked it up in the end. Also, gambit has a history of losing in qarters in majors, and the fact that they went 3-0 has no impact in playoffs, maybe confidence. Fnatic is the most confident lineup out there in these games. Don't know for how long you've watched counterstrike, but in these big games, they are the masters of the comeback. Everyone knows this, just google ''envy vs fnatic cologne 2015'' or something, and pick the dust 2 game. These things doesn't change, they will always be able to hold their nervs. Sure, they might not be as a dominant of a team as they were, but some things never change. Saying that, gambit has a chance, for sure. They played well.

Fnatic taking too long on many of these rounds, was the same on train. They leave themselves no time for error, and gambit capitalize. Also, in the round where the score was 4-2, fnatic has a 4 v 3 but can't seem to make a decision. They need that old school style right now, go with the flow. They seem to overthink some stuff. Maybe I'm wrong, gambit are also playing very well. Fun game both map 1 and map 2 thus far.

I'll start of with well played gambit! Fnatic had their chances to win both games actually, but when you mess up like you did on inferno, you're going NOWHERE. The pistol was a 100% round if dennis doesn't peek from banana, he peeks, and the round is up for grabs, dosia clutches it out. The second gun round, a 5 v 3 left to a 0v3 due to not taking any banana control, they didn't even control the top of it a single round in tha half, not a single time. The anti forcebuys were crap, if they win the one at 13-12, they most likely take the game 16-13 or at least get overtime. So yeah, Fnatic really fucked themselves here, and gambit made the best of all the mistakes that were made. It was so many, I've never seen fnatic make those mistakes before, never. No pistolrounds was a huge factor, but they could've won the one on CT inferno quite easily if they didn't threw it away, as I said, that's a 100% won round essentially when the bomb is dropped on the cross and dennis has banana, but he dies. GG gambit, you deserved this as you completely capitalized on the mistakes, and you made good plays as well. Gratz!

Gambit made as many misstakes as fnatic did. Difference? Gambit are better aimers but they have the potential to grow and become alot better as a team if they add fast play sometimes. This fnatic team will never reach the heights nor will they ever become top3-5 again. I used to cheer for them but they are naiv and are wasting other talents such as lekr0 and twist or worse they have broken them already. Perhaps NiP are on a right path but cArn and fnatic organisation needs to make huge changes and that includs removing olof because he isnt 1/3 of the player he used to be and that is unacceptable imo. twist and lekr0 they need another shoot or else the scene in sweden is doomed. NiP and fnatic are livin in the past. Legendary status/history deosnt make you top 1 automaticully. Its the present that count.

Don't say gambit made as many mistakes as fnatic... that's why they won, they made fewer mistakes. And gambit ain't the better aimers either, they're worse on that part. Adren and hobbit can compete in terms of aim. This fnatic team still has one of the highest amount of individual skill. The difference here was Zeus and his gameplan. He knew exactly what to do when fnatic fucked up. They won all the pistolrounds so that helps. I don't want to argue, but someone who understands the game would see this. Gambits tactics and their gameplan and the lack of mistakes was why they won. And how they capitalized on certain situations. Lekr0 and twist will get their chances, no doubt. Just like stewie, autimatic, elige, hobbit and so many more players has gotten theirs. But right now, fnatic is the best possible swedish lineup, doesn't matter if you like it or not. By the way, SK GOING DOWN BOI.

this isnt the first time this year that the so called best swedish possible team got eliminated by Gambit and before this event they couldnt make it out of groups 3 in a row. Trust me we need to provide a better team quickly because right now its embarrassment for us swedes. Quit beliving that fnatic is one of the best teams with raw skills/aim because they are far from it. Astrails, SK and FaZe eats them alive when it comes to that. Yes I enjoy watching SK because not only do they play great as a team with great individualls, they work hard for it. I know they've been doing badly, but still, fnatic had a great chance to win here. And I also know we need a better team, but drastic changes won't fix that. In my opinion, any team that's going to be better than the current fnatic is a mix with fnatic / nip and lekr0. They are one of the best teams, you just said it yourself. Those 3 teams beat them, though I'd say they can compete with astralis in skill on a good day, but being top 3/4 in skill is one of the best in the world. You're not making any sense. Ja, jag sa aldrig att fnatic hade otur? Jag sa att de gjorde mer misstag, misstag är misstag, inte otur. Alla lag har lite otur och tur med sig i varje match, så var det även här. Sedan finns det en annan nivå av tur, men något sådant existerade inte i gambit-fnatic matchen, vilket jag inte heller sa. SK vann andra rundan som t på cache, en full eco när det stod 3-1. Efter att astralis fick vapen i händerna spelade de ut SK på alla plan. Kunde tagit slut mycket tidigare om inte cold hade sin hero play eller om inte SK vann de flesta cluthcerna i andra halvan. Angående det svenska laget, det kommer ta tid, och om fnatic inte lyckas detta året så förmodar jag att en Nip / fnatic mix kommer. NIP bör inte kunna utmana toppen med det laget de har nu, top 10 går att nå, men inte mycket högre än så, det är vad jag tror i varje fall. Faze / SK / Astralis är världens top 3, har ingen speciell ordning på dem, personligen. Alla de lagen kan slå varandra. Sverige kommer att få ihop ett lag som kan utmana, det har vi alltid lyckas med, om det är fnatic linan eller inte, det återstår att se.

I wrote that! As much as i love him. But he can't keep up with the level of developpement from Gambit as a squad. 1 30 bomb performance doesnt make all his bad games non-existent. If they want to keep pushing top 5, they need extra fire power. Add electronic, or maybe even s1mple(if he can behave) and gambit is top5 team.
