well people like Thoorin said they didn't even belong to be at this event and they would lose early. It is nice to be at home and it is an advantage, but it doesn't get you to the semifinals. Look at some of the events in EU and BR, lots of times the home team lost out early...Look at Poland lol being at home doesn't get VP wins. So It is nice for them to play at home, and it probably does help them, but beating G2, MIBR, Liquid, and Renegades takes skill not just home town luck. And losing 19-17 on a map to FaZe takes skill not luck.

They probably did but FaZe always trusts karrigan when it comes to vetos. I think GuardiaN or someone in FaZe at the Boston Major said karrigan is always doing the veto by himself and he doesn't even know the maps they play unless karrigan told the team later. FaZe has a pretty strong map pool especially after cbbl removed so often they don't care which map they play.

Im super happy that BIG is in the Final but I can only repeat myself. For me personally Karrigan is one of the best IGL's when it comes down to preparations etc but once the game starts he becomes one of the worst on all T1 Teams. He has 0 clue how to adapt to the enemy and also his ingamedecision are super weird. He is the main reason why Faze loses so many advantages.

The sad thing is, it's not only the major they crumbled at, the same thing happened vs. NiP at IEM Oakland, vs. fnatic at IEM Katowice, and now here... And the two IEMs were BO5s too. So just like you said, when you have such insane aimers which can't win by themselves, and you can't adapt to the opposing team for so many rounds/maps, then something is definitely wrong as fuck. And you're clearly losing vs. underdog teams over and over again, exactly when it matters the most. They failed to win the major and now they failed to win the Grand Slam, when Astralis finally got eliminated. But the way they played, scared of their opponent, they deserved to lose. The pressure got to karrigan once again.

To be completely honest it seems like you just don't really want to accept the fact that Astralis dropped a series to Na'Vi and brought BIG into the equation in some form of excuse. Truth is that Astralis are the best team in the world, even after losing yesterday, but whether you like it or not Na'Vi are a close 2nd. In a game between the 2 best teams in the world nothing can be fully predictable, so first of all I wouldn't be considering that an upset by any means. As far as BIG goes, it's no news in CS:GO that crowd DOES have an impact. Not saying that the crowd ghosts for the home team, but having a whole new nation behind you cheering you up, not only will be a major confidence and morale boost for the home team but will also get into the heads of the opposite team in form of pressure and intimidation. We saw Cloud9 win a major against a very favourite FaZe clan and both teams have confirmed that the crowd came into play in that case. I'm guessing BIG has had the preparation of their lives coming into a tournament with the crowd advantage, but I honestly don't think they'll keep this form afterwards without stagnating. We can't just deliberately say a tournament of this dimension is rigged just because part of us got triggered by the results, mate. Oh, also, I don't think beating MIBR and G2 is worth a party at this point. Let's be honest, as a MIBR supporter they're both playing like absolute clowns and neither had preparated for BIG before.

I thought about the reasons why Faze lost and I came up with the following: 1) the lack of practice has been a big factor, because their map pool was trash and it showed mainly on their T sides, since they weren't able to get through the structured defense of BIG 2) Cromen - although definitely a capable fragger, his role doesn't fit the team. Even bigger shame is that he simply didn't turn out at all. Faze was better with Xixt. Thankfully, as a Faze fan, I am glad to see, that they realize more fragging isn't what they need. 3) Guardian's inconsistency - imo the best awper in the world (and my favourite player) but unfortunately since Sydney he has kind fallen off. I hate to see him underperform, but I hope that with a little break he will soon kick ass again. And finally, a factor that DIDN'T play a role in their defeat (but this is still only my personal opinion): Karrigan. I always thought, as the majority of this forum, that he simply isn't good enough. But idk, as I was wathing Faze play I was surprised to find out that he is better player than i thought. Sure, he messed up a lot with nades on Inferno, but that is something that is easily fixable. But still I must blame him for something and that is a lack of confidence in himself and his team. I really did not enjoy watching Faze kind of giving up in the last rounds when all seemed lost. I would rather see them fight more bravely and with more fervor. After all, according to ratings they are the second best team in the world. I can only hope that they will get back on track after the player break and that they will finally find a fitting fifth player.
