Yeah. They beat them once in the EPL finals. Which was 2:1 for team Liquid but don’t forget the overpass, where Astralis were destroying Liquid. Liquid beat them on Inferno and on Vertigo but in fact it was 1:1 because Vertigo is still something new. And also even the best team can have a bad day... :) Youre just struggling to accept that the Liquid era has never began.

I was just taking the piss as the brits like to say. s1mple is still the best but zywoo is making a case to be considered right there with him. This is technically his rookie year and he's probably already going to be in the top 10 and perhaps top 5. If he keeps up his play for the rest of the year he might be in the argument for number 1 which for a rookie would be insane. Like you, I also enjoy watching him. He's one of the most aware and smart players I've ever seen. It's why people think he's cheating—he so often knows exactly what the enemy is thinking and where they will peek from. It's amazing to watch someone so calm under pressure. Even after he has a big 3 or 4k round and the camera points to him he just smiles, fist bumps, and moves on. He never gets over excited and seems like a humble guy.

I think you make a valid point here. ZywOo, imo, could have even better stats than he does, but he seems to be a better team player than simple. ZywOo doesn't play for high kd and/or highlight plays, but he still gets them. At times it seems s1mple tries to do things on his own which is a negative aspect for him. ZywOo seems to sacrafice his own stats and play for his team. The thing which he has the closest to s1mple that no other player seems to have except maybe NiKo is he can do anything. Give him an awp, pistol, smg, or rifle, and he'll do work with it. This is a rare trait among players. You can't lock him into a box—he's able to make something of any weapon he has.

S1mple might be in a 1v4 and kill the first 3 with the flashiest kills but then throw the 1v1 by overpeeking repeatedly. He also has the mentality that he has to do everything himself cause his team aren't as good as him and will rush into terrible scenarios and throw because of it. I never notice zywoo doing these things. He seems to stay pretty calm and play everything in a smart way to win the round.

+1 I respect s1mple greatly because he is obviously an amazing player. But I think you are right in saying he over-extends himself too much and makes mistakes. Everytime I see ZywOo in a clutch situation I get this feeling he'll win it. I look forward to seeing how he develops over time, because so far I've been nothing but impressed by his play. He is so consistent and has already proven that even on the big stage he can maintain the same level he always plays at. Lately, it seems he plays even better on LAN and in big moments. The guy is something special for sure.

I never said I don't like him. I'm just saying that he could be even better if he wasn't so emotional. It gets the better of him and causes him to make many mistakes despite how good he is. It's more about how much better he could be if he took his raw talent and applied the kind of decision making that always chooses the highest percentage play instead of the "I'm going to run through a smoke 1v3 because if i dont kill them all my bad teammates surely wont and we lose anyways" type decision making.

Yop, of course I'm French, therefor rooting for Vitality but Ence wild tactics were repelled multiple times by Vita lately, thing that Astralis couldn't do in their last matches, that's why, even thought Astralis is dangerous Vita has a great chance in terms of preparation(tactics) + the animal, liquid is not a good mark as they changed but Ence fairly kept their same efficiency level. 2-1 Vita - Vita's Map will be easely won, the rest not so sure.

Vitality ultimately deserved it on Overpass. Astralis making a few too many mistakes and Vitality has seemed sharper ever since round 4 basically. This marks the end, the complete end, of Astralis as the best team in the world. And that goes for those who still had them at number one after Liquid surpassed them in the rankings. Not going to be too harsh on Device as that's not fair really, but he really underperformed and looked scared for the whole series. Hats off to Vitality, really deserved this one and honestly I didn't think they had a chance at winning this event, now it's basically anyone of the 3 remaining teams tournament to win, can't really call this one but Liquid might be favored results wise. Thanks for the game, both teams!
